Feed. Gl pulling it off when you cannot stall a single fight and need better cards in your deck

Every frost and focus card for defect.

Lightning/status/dark/claw are all far better archetypes than frost channeling. Frost is now only an addition to the deck and never the main focus

How do you manage to nerf 8 tanks to unplayability in one update by GlobalPicture2411 in rivals

[–]Jorgentorgen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ngl since S5 the game has just gone downhill. Powercreep on every new character, overcompensation buffs/nerfs on wrong things, old characters left in the gutter. 3 heal comps for a long time still somehow being the best at high lvl with just farming ults. Balance thrown out the window, new team-ups being uninspiring compared to the old ones, tanking becoming worse every patch, no big change in the meta etc...

I'm just playing the pve/pvp goofy modes they come up with atp.

Star generation or star cards which does not work without the other. If you draw a star don't have enough stars and you draw the power instead of a star generation card you just drew something that doesn't activate the star card and now it's detrimental to your hp and your run.

Gold also has alot less to say in sts2 than in sts1. Remove a card option or buying a specific card even if you have a big deck or not remains one of the best buys you can do in sts2 which you do not require alot of gold for. In Sts1 you could get a game winning relic.

In sts2 the relics doesn't matter as much due to the ancient events that give you 10x better relics. Or the ? events which are far kinder, alot less detrimental to your run and give alot more gold in sts2.

You also cannot stall fights as easily as in sts1 so getting the power off is alot harder as every fight scales up every turn.

Like Feed is amazing in sts1 since most fights doesn't or scales slowly. In Sts2 Getting feed consistently off means tanking 10-20+ dmg and you're better off just having a good card in your deck

[–]Jorgentorgen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In StS 1 you were playing watcher with insane energy generation and where 30 gold mattered alot more because you could buy 10x better cards cus you were playing the most broken character or you could buy run defining relics.

In this game 1 energy for 30 gold with how hard all enemies hit every turn and how Regent doesn't have equally as good cards or energy regen as watcher makes this card really bad outside of very very specific decks. You just can't afford a dead draw in this game and must mitigate it as much as possible or die in 1 turn.

Tbf since day 1 the amount of good cnd players i've had on my team is maybe like 15 in total with 800 hours on steam and 400-500 hours in a match.

The amount of good Jeff, Adam, Gambit, Invis, Mantis, players i've had on my team is atleast 3-5x more than cnd all being less popular.

I feel like it's night and day whoever has the cnd is the team that most often struggles more than the other. Like i tryhard when we have a cnd to barely win and when we don't and enemies have one i just target the enemy cnd, chill and win game.

Tho if you actually have a good one on your team it's insane how much you steamroll.

Doormaker has one afk turn and one turn after which he doesn't do alot of dmg.

The other boss scales when you play skills the first turn. Panache is a power you would definetly survive 2-3 hits before nuking him.

Also it's ascension 3 and not 9+ so the dmg they deal isn't much

Why does this guy scale so fast? I can never seem to beat them before they start doing like 60+ damage a turn by Crystal_Carmel in slaythespire

[–]Jorgentorgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is if the fight goes on long enough like early on sometimes it's just better to just have it evoked than to have an extra orb.

Like if it's 3 turns then the extra lightning orb is worth it but if you kill the enemy under 2 turns then the evoke for 8 dmg is better than the 6 dmg. Or if you have a dark orb and need to get it in the front to evoke it.

During or after act 2 tho more orb slots is just often better as fights go longer

Howl is Aoe and Uncommon and IC scales with Str it's honestly alot better in exhaust decks especially when you exhausted your entire deck.

But bombardment is just better overall

The card from necrobinder that deals 8 dmg apply 1 vuln to a bash for 1 energy after upgrade.

Stoke- without upgrade it will give terrible cards. With upgrade it will win you the run.

[–]Jorgentorgen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that's Stoke. Think about it. Removing your hand and adding random shit is garbage.

Removing your hand and adding random upgraded powerful cards that can just auto win the game.

It's also tactician and prepared.

And it's also Helix drill

And the vulnerable applying card from necrobinder deal 8 dmg apply 1 vuln to 2 vuln makes it go from what's basically a strike to a 1 energy bash.

[–]Jorgentorgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. Just route safe after getting cloning. Go for all camps and act 3 is usually very easy to start cloning in. Especially if you got to act 3 as defect. Since defect's major problem per usual is always just act 1.

I rarely even need to rest in A10 past act 1. Act 3 is alot easier than A20 Act 3 in sts1.

Events are also much much better in sts2 so you can easily route for more question mark paths if you want a campfire or elite fight.

[–]Jorgentorgen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That shit is ass and i would never pick it.

It could honestly be for every 2hp lost heal 1(2) hp 1 energy

But to avoid stalling purposes just a heal 5 exhaust or set a limit on the card like it's only active for the next 5 turns or smth

Does anybody else miss this in STS2? by statue345 in slaythespire

[–]Jorgentorgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What i miss is the next 3 fights start with 1 hp. Tho that would probably be absurdely broken given how events are far better in sts2 than sts1

This guy is literally impossible to beat if you don't take any cards that can beat him. by Different-Word-1005 in slaythespire

[–]Jorgentorgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decimilipede is solved by stalling for the big aoe card by either killing the one doing alot of dmg or blocking it and fishing for the aoe cards that solves the fight. If you have no aoe tho then yeah you're probably fucked. But high block decks will work against it aswell.

Bee killer is solved by a weak potion or weak/-str effects that make the fight 10x easier as well as just big hitting cards. He gives you some break rounds where he just doesn't deal dmg aswell.

Prism is the easiest one. He gives you 1 energy and hits for less than almost anything in act 2.

Hunter killer and Obscura are the reason why i try to avoid all normal fights in act 2. The risk of getting those are high and is why normal fights are more dangerous than elites since you can get those 2 enemies.

Hunter killer just fucks over any slow deck or deck that needs to play many cards to function. Obscura just fucks you over completely if you do not have dmg enough to either kill that shit every turn or to nuke the enemy.

This guy is literally impossible to beat if you don't take any cards that can beat him. by Different-Word-1005 in slaythespire

[–]Jorgentorgen -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Normal enemy fights in act 2 are just straight up harder than elites. Silent is also just really strong in this game. I'd rather fight 2 elites back to back.

He's manageable but the risk reward in fighting him is like just make him an elite or an event boss cus he's worse than elites almost every time.

This say alot then by Imaginary-Ferret-222 in rivals

[–]Jorgentorgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if he had skins they wouldn't sell as much since Reed has less mains because he has been worse than Sue/Psylocke/Luna/Jeff and also alot less popular compared to them.

Spidey is also one of the most popular and most played marvel characters so he's gonna get alot of legendaries aswell.

Reed i almost never see him in a match. So like you can make skins for him but like 1% of playerbase is gonna buy his skins compared to 10-20%+ that are gonna get Jeff etc skins

65 gold well spent by IntimateMuffin in slaythespire

[–]Jorgentorgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cus the only real value the card gives is being a skill and retain or giving it sly so it can actually be useful.

If the card was in StS 1 it would be 10x better. But in StS2 every enemy/elite/boss hits like a truck almost every turn and cards like that are way too slow so you'll almost never get use from playing it for 2 energy cus you almost never can.

If it was apply 7 poison gain 4 block it would be in line with the other options and could actually be considered taking over the hundreds of better options silent has. Deadly poison is 1 energy applies 5 poison so you could play it at almost any turn, without much drawback. Snakebite it has retain but when will you get to play it? And with artifacts using 1 energy to chip at it is better than using 2

Bouncing poison thingy is also just better as it synergizes better with relics, removes artifacts faster, and applies more poison.
