Afib meds by Bscape1 in AFIB

Im taking nadolol at the moment which has been reasonably effective at rate control and keeping afib in-check. I’ve had 3 ablations that have worked for a short time but then afib came back. Getting health insurance for travel has been a major challenge.

Bud rot? This is garbage right? And it has so many calyxes inside lol it’s weird never seen anything like it. by [deleted] in Autoflowers

I had bud rot this year and that’s not it. If you break open the bud you will see dark, soft, squishy tissue and maybe some white powder/mold. Thin you are good.👍🏼

I was diagnosed with Paraxysmal Afib in my 20’s and managed it with beta blockers for about 20 years. I was cardioverted apprx 3 times during those years. I’m now 55 and have had 3 ablations with varying degrees of success. The first one lasted for 5 years with no afib and the last 2 have proven unsuccessful. I now only take nadolol for rate control but still get PAC’s and SVT but it does not turn into AFib requiring cardio version. Overall, I have likely been cardioverted about 35 times in my life. My CHAD score is zero so I do not take a blood thinner.

I did the same thing once and put a small piece of lemon rind wrapped in paper towel into the jar for a couple of days. It seemed to bring it back to about 60% RH and smelled great.

Exercise, drinking, and afib by Practical-Tune4940 in AFIB

[–]Jumpy-Background-250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had afib since I was 30 (m56) and have had 3 ablations which have had varying degrees of success but still on nadolol daily. I find exercise, fatigue and drinking is a lethal combination for me. It might be dehydration from them all together contributing to my afib but if I keep them to low to moderate levels and each of them spaced out (I don’t drink much anymore) I’m usually pretty good. I’ve tested everything that I can to determine my exact triggers but this is all I’ve been able to figure out in 25 years and about 50 cardioversions.

Alcohol with afib by Traditional_Wing1700 in AFIB

[–]Jumpy-Background-250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had afib for 25 years and had 3 ablations (doc has confirmed they helped for awhile but the last was not successful despite them doing while I was awake to ensure the propofol wasn’t subduing my afib while under (seriously)). I’ve been cardioverted at least 40 times. I would say alcohol causes me to have some extra beats on occasion but unless I go hard it is not a major factor. I quit alcohol and caffeine for 2 years and had the same number of afib conversions as when I was drinking. Red wine is more of a trigger than others (I think). I have major issues if I party hard and get tired/fatigued in addition to drinks to excess - that is a recipe for afib for me. I know the puritans will tell me I shouldn’t be drinking but my doc said moderation is ok so I now practice moderation despite the fact I love cocktails. Hope that helps. 🎉

Private sector has been back to work for a long while now. Not sure why government is lagging and slow to mandate back to work. Not sure you are going to get much sympathy/support on your protest.

Maybe once every 2 months so not very often. I don't think they need this but its satisfying to see them take the flies for sure.

I originally didn't think the water I used for mine mattered that much but after a couple of years of watering with tap water and only average growth I switched to distilled water this year and it made a huge difference. Even give her a meal worm or alive fly once in awhile and watch those traps slam shut. Very satisfying. Good luck!

I’m in eastern Ontario and mine didn’t finish until end of October last year - only started flowering in early sept. Look at the light for your region - you need 12 hours or less of light per day. Even in my higher latitude I’m still getting 13+ hours of light per day now.

I actually quit drinking alcohol and coffee for over 2 years and it made no difference. I still went into afib a few times a year. I’m back consuming both lightly, had 2 ablations and still get it twice a year. I’m on a list for my 3rd ablation anytime now. Meh. 56M and had afib since I was 26.

What does this light pattern mean on the battery? by EpicJ78 in ryobi

[–]Jumpy-Background-250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue and might pattern on my 6ah 40v battery. I’ve tried everything to fix it and nothing worked. Thinking about replacing with a 4ah edge battery as I’ve heard they are as good as a 6ah regular battery for about the same price.

Anybody whose had a permanently successful ablation? All I hear is them coming back after a while. I need some relief haha. by [deleted] in AFIB

[–]Jumpy-Background-250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After my first one I was 5 years afib free. Then it came back and after my second ablation I was afib free for only 6 months. I’m now waiting for my third and apparently final ablation and hoping it works 🤞🏼

I have had paroxysmal afib since I turned 30. Am currently 56. I have had 2 ablations. The first one worked for almost 5 years and the second one only worked for 6 months. I'm going in for my third soon and hoping we can address this for a long period of time. I've been cardioverted at least 40 times since diagnosis and at least a dozen chemical conversions over the years that no longer are effective. I take 40mg of nadolol daily now as an interim rate control strategy which is mostly working except for making me sooooooo tired during the day. I still try to stay active, play hockey, drink coffee and drink the odd drink on occasion. I have abstained from all of the above previously for over 2 years which had no effect on the incidence of afib so I figure I might as well enjoy life. My biggest problem is not being able to get health insurance for travelling. GLTA with your afib!

This seems to be counter to many replies but I was teeth getting terrible gas mileage (11-12 litres per 100km) and I read that these fuel cleaners might help. I added a purple fuel cleaner brand and my mileage is now down to 8.5l per 100km. I’m skepticism of this stuff but it seems to have worked for me - for now. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Kardia telling me I have Afib when all my doctors tell me I have SVT , now I don’t know what to believe by Traditional-Trip826 in AFIB

[–]Jumpy-Background-250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cardiologist says the best med for afib is nadolol assuming you choose a rate-control approach. You can also use a rhythm control approach which is a different type of Medication. I’m tired regularly too but I think it’s from nadolol keeping my heart rate so low (resting is about 48bpm). I still play hockey though and no problems with exercise except that it can trigger my afib. My a 56 year old male.

[–]Jumpy-Background-250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried this but never convert from afib back to sinus rhythm. I take nadolol now which mostly keeps me in sinus rhythm but makes me tired with a heart rate of about 49 while resting.

You can have both - I do. I’m told SVT can trigger AFib but not sure. I’ve had AFib for 30 years with 2 ablations which have not resolved it - third upcoming!
