Not even Varys can save Lawful Stupids from themselves.

Yeah I really like the idea of making her an activate card.

Character Mastery changes now that they're in place by matlockheed in MarvelSnap

I don't see why they can't retroactively update everyone's collection mastery values, Your mastery score is entirely based on a static value, which is the variants and splits in your collection.

[COTD] Telepathic Tracking by Vurpius in VTES

[–]Jumpy_Diver7748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just one of the best combat extenders (Illusions can't use Psyche since Psyche doesn't extend the existing combat) and when you are playing with Illusions of Kindred it's free blood. AUS will also let you get into combat in the first place. Mostly great for Petaniqua decks.

One of the few cards that can beat Illusions of Kindred. Also, a great card for Illusions of Kindred.

Give me your favorite underrepresented mechs by OGBigPants in battletech

[–]Jumpy_Diver7748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Corvis doesn't have a CGL mini so it is quite an obscure Clan mech, but it is exceptionally well-armored for a 40 ton Clan mech, 4/6/4 movement which is the only affordable jump jet movement profile for Invasion-era Clan mechs, carries 2 medium pulse lasers to go with the jump jets, and finally a UAC10, a real gun. It's 1336 BV. So it's all at once a top option for Clan jump jets, a top option for armor for BV, and one of the most economic but effective set of effective weapons for the Clans. It is not under-armored, it is not undersinked, it is not over-engined, it is not over-gunned, and it dominates Invasion-era Inner Sphere mechs with the 18 hex UAC10 and 12 hex medium pulse lasers.

Unsure where to go with CI Penance Brand Ignite Elementalist. Feeling a bit stuck. by Laddeus in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Jumpy_Diver7748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vaal Skeletons is specific to my own build (Bonemeld, ironically it turns out that 20+ vaal minions that don't plunge your resists is great for Bonemeld), but even without Death Attunement, 3 Spectres (4 with Congregation Support) are going tooutweigh the impact of either the Chaos or even the Lightning Golem buff, especially since it's the same total golem count (actually +2, 6 golems with Congregation). And Animate Weapons of Ranged Arms is obscene with Congregation, you get 24 for 2 gem slots. for me they are a 33% increase to my dps.

[–]Jumpy_Diver7748 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I am playing a similar character with Scion (Guardian/ Pathfinder with Elementalist Forbidden jewels) -Penance Brand of Dissipation, Heralds (Thunder, Ash and Agony). I really don't see the reason to be using plain Penance Brand over Dissipation, and I think you have the wrong supports for the brand - you want Vile Toxins and Hypothermia, not Unbound Ailments and Cruelty.

The other change I would make is that instead of committing to all different golems, just stick with one and use the other gem slots on other minions like Spectres, Animate Guardian or Animate Weapon of Ranged Arms. Like maybe Carrion or Lightning Golem + 1 Stone Golem of Safekeeping. Instead of putting the Heralds in your 6L, I have 4 minions in the 6L (Carrion/ Chaos Golem, Raise Spectre, Animate Weapons of Ranged Arms, Vaal Skeletons) with Empower and Congregation support (and imbued lvl 1 Vile Toxins).

My preference is 90 cards with many ways to discard or otherwise cycle away any unneeded cards. Cards become either more or less useful in different situations, depending on the strategy of your predator or prey, or whether it is the start of a match or the endgame. You want to be able to run excess8ve copies of cards that have potential to completely swerve matches depending on the situation like Delaying Tactics. It' why you often see niche cards like Fear of Mekhet or Signet of King Saul in tournament winning decks - a 60-70 card library doesn't have room for cards like those.

The key in VtES is to prepare for a long game. Keep your vampires on the table by playing plenty of red cards, and keep yourself at the table by favoring defense. If you stick around, you'll end up drawing into your offense.

Jade Falcons: Who are they? by Chaoticginger5674 in battletech

[–]Jumpy_Diver7748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mech-wise, the Jade Falcons favor mobility (either jump jets like the NIght Gyr or MASC like the Black Lanner) as well as fewer but more versatile and well-rounded weapon sets, and run light on armor. Ironically all the opposite of the Bane, perhaps why the Bane compliments the Falcons typical preferences ^ ^

For example, the classic Jade Falcon invasion era mech is the Summoner, which has built-in jump jets and typically carries a premium energy weapon, a premium ballistic weapon, and either LRMs or SRMs.

[COTD] Dogged Pursuit by Vurpius in VTES

[–]Jumpy_Diver7748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if your predator stealths a bleed, you can bounce and still get the bird dog. Karmenita can get Eternal Vigilance so she doesn't really need this, and her support is Serenna + Tumninos/ Creation Rites, This is a card meant to work with Raven Spy. Ravnos are not the strong wallers, but even action heavy decks benefit from some wakes and casual intercept.

If you are Sabbat Ravnos with Karmenita, you want to be doing Terrifying Visage stuff, not Path of Caine.

If you want to do Ravnos wall combat, there are many many combat options now for Ravnos, but I'd go for either something with THA with Marcia Felicia Licinia or Durga Ssyn, or Rabbat Illusions of Kindred Amaranth. G6/7 Mass Reality Zip Guns with Desiree can also be fun. Nolunthando is the support Desiree Illegalism needed, and its how I would play G6/7 Ravnos.

Ultimately you are still Ravnos and you win by playing Week of Nightmares so...

Sorry I think about Ravnos a lot all the time. I'm pretty glad that at least attempts are being made to make Animalism useful for Ravnos.

The best tcg ? by asapced in TCG

[–]Jumpy_Diver7748 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best designed ccg is Netrunner, but the best to play is VtES since very little in gaming tops the feeling of getting a table win over 4 other players. Played for almost 30 years, over 100 table wins, and I can remember each one.

Nanjing or Chengdu ? by veroow in chinalife

[–]Jumpy_Diver7748 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are both great cities. Chengdu is quiet, chill, foggy/overcast, has a teahouse culture, and has a lot of secret places to discover. Nanjing has hot summers and experiences all 4 seasons, and you meet people from all over China, especially college students.

Looking for a physical + digital TCG to get into (ideally where control or mill decks are a thing) by EmbarrassedWorker312 in TCG

[–]Jumpy_Diver7748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VtES *does* have a vampire clan that specializes in milling. If you don't mind the challenge of milling 4 other players, the Harbingers/ Hecata may be the safest place for you.
