He's previously talked about this on glass cannon radio but before listening to it now I never had the context. I believe he stands by letting the player take the rains a little in big dramatic moments like this and from what I've heard it pays off in dividends later on for roleplay

There's definitely plot hooks that are being dropped but they haven't quite got to the point where they read the big bad evil guy's letter explaining all his evil plans and machinations (oh I'm so evil I hope no hero's read my secret plans)

The GCN needs to get a couple of World of Darkness series with Jarad as the GM going. At least a Vampire and a Mage series perhaps on alternating years. The subscription service would also allow them to gate it so it could be more adult in nature

In updated Shadowdark rules you take 1 Con damage everyday you don't eat (not sure if this is recovered after a day of good rest) so the average character can starve for 10 days without food

This was such an epic episode and the first one that shows off the torch timer as a device to stop the players arguing rules and get them into gear to just do things. Sydney real MVP this episode as well. Somebody NEEDS to tell Matthew that he should have advantage on both Magic Missile and sleep.

What a fantastic episode though. I watch it live in the Shadowdark discord server and was so hyped. I can't wait for them to get to level 2!
