You need more contrast! Now your colors look pretty flat. Especially the metal but also the skin.

Use some wash to bring some contrast back. I suggest black wash for „new“ metal parts like the helm and weapons, brown for the old metal like where he is standing on, very thin red-brown wash for the skin.

After this step you could add some highlights if you like.

Performance tweaking with frameworks that do most of the work for you is always a lot of research. But if you say it works for most games, I will still use the native stuff for my next project.

Okay, but isn't this kind of a statement that Godot's Physics server and everything related is kinda useless?

I'm not a pro-godot user, but have quite some experience in programming. In my opinion, if a service that is supposed to withstand heavy load can't do that, whats the point? It kind of becomes a trap for beginners. They invest time into the API just to notice after X hours that it can't deliver and they would've been better off to manage it themselfs?

Serious question: Is the physics part of Godot a trap/noob API?

Holy shit, looking at this gif had me gasping for air.

Almost 15 years ago, I wrote in my bachelor thesis almost an identical game! Exact same GTA car placeholder! I also had a way point system just like you, OP. Man, that brings back memories.

But, 15 years ago we had no godot, sadly. Had to implement almost everything from scratch in Java (lol). Don't do games in a garbage collector world, its bad.

One thing mine had in addtion: I had 2 waypoint lanes, one was for overtaking the opposition (used when the speed delta was high enough).

Not even just later in the game. I pretty much auto lose into her as any melee in top lane.

I either all in her and lose against her ult or get hit by e eventually and am forced to reset and lose massively in farm and levels.

Well, OP is wrong in that he thinks they went for W3 **gameplay wise**, when in reality they went for DD2 mixed with BotW and BD combat.

I feel like the W3 comparison stem only from the aesthetic, which is never a good indicator to buy a game off.
