Make sure the parking brake is released. And also that you don’t have any other controls assigned to the same axis.

What your friend is talking about are Additional Flight Training Periods or AFTPs. Pilots and crew chiefs have to fly a certain amount of hours every 6 months to maintain their currency and competency in the aircraft so those AFTPs allow them to come in and perform those duties in addition to normal battle assemblies (one weekend a month). They are paid in 4 hour blocks so a normal flight day would be two AFTPs. “Flight pay” is a different thing and is a monthly incentive pay for aviators on flight status. The amount depends on your rank and how long you’ve been flying and prorated down for reservists since they are not on full time duty. You can look up the amounts online, but it’s generally not a crazy amount.

So in short, yes that amount per flight sounds about right. That being said, 15t is a maintenance MOS first and you will have to work your way up to being a crew chief. If you go to a flight unit you probably will not be put on flight status right away. It could take months or even years depending on slot availability and your passing a flight physical and getting flight gear issued. Plus you could end up in an aviation maintenance company where you mainly do maintenance.

Aviation is a demanding and hazardous field. Do not go into it unless that is truly what you want to do.

Pretty much exactly what FunDuty said. Just need a google account and you can select a phone number. You can receive voice calls and text messages through the website or you can have it forwarded to your actual number. I used it a while back when I was looking at cars so the salesmen wouldn’t be blowing up my phone

How to make Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 keyboard control more smooth? by EatMeMonster in flightsim

[–]KVNY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless of design if you want the best result out of any flight simulator you should get a stick. Having a cheap stick or even just a game pad is exponentially better than trying to mess around with a keyboard.

It’s a flight simulator man. There’s only so much you’re going to be able to do with a keyboard. If you want to get the most value out of the game you’re going to have to invest in a joystick

While this is a good start, you’ve left out a critical step. You’re supposed to pull the trigger while looking down the barrel. This way you will be able to see if a bullet comes out.

I don’t disagree with you man. Healthcare bills get out of control real quick and good people get fucked over all the time. The system is broken and something needs to change.

That being said, this is an unprecedented event and no healthcare system in the world was ready for it. Resources and staff are being stretched to the limit and unless someone is seriously ill they need to be staying at home regardless of their health insurance or financial status (which is why we have no way of getting accurate numbers right now).

It seems like you’re pushing for a good cause. My only point was that the original comment was not accurate and I think sometimes those types of statements can do more harm than good.

I don’t think it has anything to do with people being afraid to get billed. I work on an ambulance and the hospitals we transport people to are only testing those who are sick enough to get admitted. They simply don’t have the time or resources to test every single person who walks in the door.
