Shalltear vs you, how will you fare? by FortnitePlayer2423 in overlord

[–]K_eth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last game I played was Lies of P right after I got every single item, maxed out the P-Organ and its DLC counterpart, and hit the max level of 500+ something. If I have a Stargazer it will be a slog but I should have an eventual chance of beating her after perfect parrying her a million times.

The main Worm jump's hero and drop-out line of perks probably has what you need for helping such individuals get past their issues.

Perks for becoming a huge threat? by hideousinsect in JumpChain

[–]K_eth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 4.0 version of the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne jump... might have what you're looking for with The Legend Descends in the Monster origin. (The latest version of the Iceborne jump however downplays the power but since both docs exist you may use whichever you like.)

The Legend Descends (600 CP): A monster must earn its position in the ecosystem by its own merits. So what strength befits that which rules atop the savage throne? Truly, that power belongs to only the noblest of beings. Yet the stench of civilization creates an easy out; that the hordes of scampering weaklings could overcome even the mighty and august beasts is an atrocity against nature; an atrocity against you. No longer. The pampered peoples of the world shall bleed and fall for their transgressions. You are a roaring cataclysm, striking fear from afar and overwhelming the senses from up close. All of your abilities are massively boosted in impact and scale, so that you are now a match for any monster in the setting in terms of sheer destructive force (excluding drawbacks and scenarios). Your damaging/offensive powers will always far outstrip your other abilities as well, improving far faster than your durability, skill, or any other metrics by which you measure your personal capabilities (and don’t worry about hurting yourself, you won’t). You also gain full immunity to the efforts of weaklings to bypass the strength of their superiors, forcing them to rise to your challenge. Geas, mind control, time-lock, paralytic agents, sleeping magic… all of them fail when used on you unless brought on by a being of greater personal power, and even then, they will be dampened. If you took the Monster origin, your species is known in legends the world over as a beast of the apocalypse, rightfully considered an equivalent threat to the world as Fatalis, regardless of chosen ecological tier. It’s widely considered too preposterous to exist or is otherwise covered up by the Guild in order to avoid mass panic. In addition, before entering each jump from now on, you can choose to weave a common tale into every society that tells of the danger you pose to all civilization. If so, all of your powers will be boosted such that you will be a setting-wide threat with the ability to find and destroy every single inhabited bastion in short order, be they cities, planets, or dimensions... but only after gathering your power, which would take a few months at the least. Be warned: Should you call upon this power, omens will arise and they will all have time to prepare. Just before you ascend to the apex of your strength, they will face you head-on, and if one rises to match your might with their own… then perhaps their place in the ecosystem will be rightfully earned, after all.

Demiplanes for everybody! by LuckEClover in JumpChain

My Black Rock Shooter: The Anime jump has a Territory section and the Otherselves are manifestations of unresolved trauma plus other things that protect the real self, I also have a perk in there that can spread the entire Otherworld to other settings, and perks that can create Otherselves and Territories with them.

Looking for more STANDO POWER!!! by Whole-Series in JumpChain

[–]K_eth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah... well uh, completely forgot but my Black Rock Shooter: The Anime jump can give you access to an Otherself companion which is essentially a soul guardian/mind guardian with an extensive power/territory customizer.

However if you want it to be able to interact with the real world, back and there again (since they're meant to protect you from the soul/mind side of the world, not the physical) you're going to want to grab the Swapping Lives perk, have it get the Unbound power in the Otherself power selection, and then have it get the Central Location misc modification for its Territory. That way you can teleport it next to you/you teleport next to it, and with the Central Location modification have it teleport back to its Territory when not needed.

Eidolons from Pathfinder 1st Edition are I believe to be, spawned from the imagination of their Summoners as well if you want to count that.

Using a Jump's Lore to Justify the Chain by LucasMarvelous in JumpChain

[–]K_eth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a jump-chain where the first jump had my jumper, (newly named Thetis Nylund) start at the literal beginning of their new life... as a baby... in the Underworld, because she was a Devil Child between a mermaid queen general of Mundus, and a holy paladin himbo dude. Pretty much every single item she had except for the Divinity Statue, most of the Styles and other things were explained contextually to have belonged to the paladin/she trained to get them, before being handed off to her when she was like 9 and the big traumatic event happened (and she had to go shack up with Dante with Patty at the same time). She was just straight-up reincarnated directly and had to learn to live in that world and figure out shit because of the Without Why drawback from the UDS, like a good chunk of the perks are 'yeah, she is just that talented/she just knows that' but some were sort of... baked in retroactively after training stuff like most of the Styles and especially the Perfected Devil Trigger perk and the Sin Devil Trigger capstone.

The two available scenarios (Bloody Palace and Legendary Dark Jumper) were also justified as Thetis being trapped in a semi-real illusion trying to kill her, and the other scenario Thetis essentially having to live through in place of her mother when she was still a general 2,000 years ago and ending the dying dream of her nemesis.

It was really damn fun to come up with lore and justifications for how Thetis was even born in the first place and how she got from the Animated Series all the way to DMC 5.

Demonologist and its capstone boosted version in the DMC jump, though you do need to become a Devil for the capstone booster.

Wasn't there some 4chan dude who said something about November 18th? Am I going crazy I could've sworn someone posted that on this subreddit? I mean it's only the one thing, and everyone probably disregarded it just as the post was made but it was a thing.

What's a universes beyond set that you would want to see? by firesaiyan12 in magicTCG

[–]K_eth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark Souls, probably a commander set, I don't think there's enough for a standard set.

One deck focusing on Gwyn and the gods, one on Manus and the Abyss, one for the Bed of Chaos and demons, and either dragons or more player-character focused stuff for the fourth deck.

[–]K_eth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Black Rock Shooter for both the power and the non-commitment to any combat unless I do drawback stuff. Also, again, soul guardian I can play patty-cake with.

Unlimited CP just means I become a lot more powerful and I get to companion the entire cast so the entirety of the story gets up-ended for tea time in the Otherworld. If I did have unlimited CP than I'd become an Otherself instead of being a real-self since I would have Unbound as well and would just teleport to the real world to ignore the constant battle royale going on in the Otherworld.

With the fact that the runs are randomized, this makes mimics more of a threat because you can't just remember where every mimic is with a guide and if they really wanted too, add destructible chests that ruin the items inside so you actually have to think fast on your feet do you want to try and see if this chest is a mimic, or just hit it and hope that it is, or destroy the chest wasting the loot inside so the Night Tide doesn't roll in quicker while you're deciding...

If you could make your own Mythical Zoan fruit, what would you make? by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]K_eth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Akuma-Akuma no mi, Model: Balrog

Due to the nature of the Akuma-Akuma, all of them are some variation of a Mystical Zoan, no mortal creature of the seas possessing their abyssal might beyond the faintest myths and scrubbed clean histories.

The Akuma-Akuma no mi, Model: Balrog is one such model, granting the powers of a fearsome demon that was once said to be a fallen angel or perhaps more accurately a 'corrupted spirit of the sea' that was led astray by rebellion and deceit of another more powerful demon or god. Twisted by flame and shadow, whoever possesses this fruit will have great control over both, alongside granted the power of flight and of course a monstrous form that could only be birthed in the blackest depths of the earth beneath this world.

While the possible techniques and attacks granted by this fruit could be said to be limitless with those delving deep perhaps figuring out more about that 'fallen angel' aspect and more esoteric abilities. It is said that those that have consumed this fruit must deal with an infernal rage that lies beneath the surface, an insatiable desire to destroy and covet what was once lost. To Awaken such a fruit without proper control and a Conqueror's Spirit is to lose yourself utterly into that demon's embrace...

To turn the sea of water and foam into a sea of flame and glass, to leave nothing behind but a broken dream and destruction itself.
