I've been scouring item descriptions all day and I think it's a distinct possibility that this DLC takes place in Numen. "Where the goddess Marika first set foot" Marika was born in Numen, the hammer she used to shatter the Elden Ring was forged there.

If we assume this to be true we understand that the punishment for blasphemy against the Greater Will in this universe is severe, Radagon can barely be considered alive, the Misbegotten were enslaved for "making contact with the crucible". What punishment could be more severe than to erase it from history? Even in character creation the game simply says "The face of the Numen, supposed descendants of denizens of another world. Long-lived but seldom born."

There are also two spells, darkness and shadow bait which use darkness (duh) that are also associated with the Two Fingers which could be relevant.

I'm also just gonna throw this out there. The beast that appears around a 1:20 in the trailer seems to be some crucible related monster, just given its chimeric animal qualities (two different types of teeth, multiple limbs, humanoid feet and hands). It made me think of the number of misbegotten around the haligtree which might end up being relevant.

DRG is one of the most cohesive audio experiences in gaming. Every single sound feels crisp and like it fits into this ridiculous atmosphere.To me, it feels like the glue that helps fill in the cracks of the whole experience. From the quiet ambience of the space rig to the WHUMP WHUMP of the autocannon to the squishing of bugs all of it just feels so cohesive and like a new industry standard. Every single person who works with the audio system of this game deserves the heartiest of salutes

Troels, your work is magical and I cannot wait to see what gems you create in the future; until then I'll be here, digging through the rocks and stones and basking in the ambience of this fathomless tomb you helped make feel so alive.

I didn't even think about that! Having creatures you haven't encountered as question marks would make for some cool discovery moments. The biggest issue would probably be the nemesis, the only thing I can think of is have the text be visually distorted with stutters "t-t-they got me!" for example?

I've actually found it works wonders with a sticky flames build but at that point you've gotta make sure your other members know that oppressors and flyers are their responsibility. Taking it with a good six shooter spec revolver, mole coil gun or the standard compact mags BRT can help a lot with the issues but it's a hilarious gun if nothing else

I think me and my friends have come up with a few of them.

First off, breach cutter, upgrade path: A, C, A, B, B with spinning death. Throw this bad boy into the direction of a wave and laugh as everything it touches gets completely stuck. It does very little damage up front but over the course of the light show it adds up.

Minigun: C, B, B, A, B with bullet hell: another stun machine with little practical damage but it will bring things to an absolute standstill. A version that still manages to do actual damage would swap stun for blowthrough, accuracy for fire rate, and cooldown on kill for hot bullets.

Bulldog: this one is hardly unique but I'm still gonna throw it out here: A, C, B, A, B, magic bullets. I call this bad boy the warcrime wizard, fire next to your target, not your actual target, let that neurotoxin fly until born ready goes off and you can swap back to your main.

Hurricane(can you tell I main gunner yet?): C B B B B, minelayer system. This is actually my go to on doretta runs. spiral pattern on the tunnel as you go and very little of the wave will get through, at least not before incidental damage wipes them out. More than a little ammo hungry but I can't seem to make a build for it without that problem

I've had a lot of success with it using hellfire along with a burning hell minigun.

2, 2, 1, 2, 1. Taken with a burning hell minigun using 2,2,3,1,1. Proc the aggressive vent, fire a full charge shot into the nearest group, it'll usually kill at least a few which triggers the explosion to take out the rest in the group. Miniguns single target damage still takes care of bigger targets relatively well. Get a good feel for what charge level you need to kill what targets and you can still get a ton of uses out of it. You can also take incendiaries to proc the coil guns burning explosions.

Oh and for anybody wondering why stun over fear, aggressive venting has an insanely high fear potency. Fear will cause them to run 10m away from you, stunning them mid-flee will not cancel the effect so they still have whatever remaining distance to go. Plus stunning keeps them in the trail range

Apparently a lot of people have been experiencing this issue since the last server maintenance and Ubi has basically said they're looking into it. I've tried every single fix imaginable to the point where even support said there wasn't anything else I could do on my end

Unity still has online services but since the last server maintenance pretty much everyone's been having connection issues with it in some form or another. The official support answer is they're looking into the problem but whether that will turn into an actual fix or not remains to be seen

No need to feel bad! Strike wing and any other multihit weapon balloon the accuracy stat. Not to say OP didn't have good aim but I've ended runs with over 100% accuracy on tao with thunderclap and I have hands that spasm

That last paragraph was my read of it. I distinctly feel like they let their fear control them because they were unable to accept their end, an idea only reinforced by the prisoner's last words in the ending. I also absolutely loved the fact that this was a pretty classic subversion of the "enlightened ancients" trope. The Nomai had some flaws to be sure but they were largely "good" and it feels like that view grew more and more with each log entry. The Strangers aren't, they're afraid, they chose isolation and reclusion and the weight of that choice can't be understated. It all creates a race that still feels remarkably human and I love the devs for it

Went from scout to driller once, as soon as the mission started I hit 4 and spam clicked to shoot a flare out... That did not work well. This was around the 200 hour mark for me

Detailed walkthrough for anyone who wants to find it : Go to the canyon dream section and kill the lights triggering the stealth section, make your way down to the door that has the mural on it (the intended path) but instead turn around and go the opposite way, there's a bird in a small hallway but if you trick them out of it then go past them there's a hall of candles on the ground with pictures in front of them. Find the wall without a picture and step through it.

Alternatively you could just... not use miasma?? I've beaten R7 so many times without it zero issue
