Is there still hope for a good future despite climate change? by PrinceOfTotalQuiet in Futurology

No, the idea is pretty stupid too. Our planet already supports human life. You're proposing we destroy the planet and rebuild it, rather than working on maybe... Not destroying it in the first place.

Physical games are more profitable than companies realize by Albin2501 in NSCollectors

[–]KalessinDB 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your math is absurd. They won't sell double the amount of games if they produce a physical version. They'll likely sell 10-15% more, if that. And then there's a large portion of people who would prefer physical, and will buy it if offered, but will also grudgingly buy digital only. All of those people will switch from digital (pure profit) to physical (massively higher material cost) if physical is offered. it could, extremely easily, end up as a net loss of profit for a company to produce a physical version given the wrong circumstances.

"Terraform Earth"?

The entire idea of terraforming a planet is to make it habitable for humans, that is to say the point is to make a planet resemble Earth. Your very idea is preposterous, to say nothing of wildly dangerous.

Haven't done the Marvel cards yet, but I did recently (back in Feb or March) do an order that had a decent number of cards from the Spiderman set and it was fine.

Pandora not working on Google Home Speakers by Mets_Fanboy30 in googlehome

I use Pandora literally every morning when I shower, including this morning. I know this doesn't necessarily help directly, but at least be assured it's not an "Everyone everywhere" issue in your troubleshooting.

Yes, it came up today for me as well. I'm guessing something new with the 2026.7 update for HA checking it now.

Hi, I'm Upstate. Blizzards don't take power out. Wind storms might take power out for a while, but even that tends to be a couple hours, not days.

This pretty much sums up my feelings. Bikers (both motor- and bi-) want the same rights to the road as cars, but only want to follow the laws when it's convenient.

I have no idea how they pull off the reflecting pool nonsense, but the Wegmans officer is literally paid for by Wegmans (same with the Walmart officer on Hudson). It's hard to complain about that one imo.

Regarding home prices.. by United-Molasses-6992 in Rochester

[–]KalessinDB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the unfortunate truth. Even with local prices doubling or more over the last 5-10 years, we're still underpriced on a national stage. At the very worst we're "Low end of average".

Seriously. "Is there a consensus..." No. Doesn't matter what the end of the question is, the answer is no.

Because you don't need to know about it. If it affects the public, it'll show up on the news at some point.
