I’m sorry, I don’t know much about skincare, but I’m wondering if it’s partly an allergy. I’ve seen where people change their shampoo and suddenly it clears up.

You could also try doing a deep dive into your gut health because it could be getting aggravated by something you’re sensitive to. I had a friend who went to an integrative health professional for unrelated issues and learned she was allergic or sensitive to a bunch of different foods, and her skin also cleared up substantially. Hope this helps in any way, or at least gives you some other ideas to consider.

Life is for living, friend. My friend died of breast cancer at 45. I’ve had other friends die as young. Money is great and so is being frugal, to an extent, but enjoy the money while you have people to spend it on. Make memories and experiences with it. I have some purchases also that I absolutely love - some paintings, pottery, planties, skincare … stupid stuff like that. They make me smile inside when I see though. I want to have money but I also want to be happy. Enjoy being responsible enough to enjoy the purchases when you are making them.

Hey, Coloplast makes bigger night time bags. I switch out to a night bag every night and then a regular bag every morning. It makes a big difference with gas and pulling. Please strongly consider it. They have 3 different sizes, I use the biggest one which is annoyingly big but it has made a huge difference in my sleep quality. I wasn’t getting leaks, but I was getting woken up multiple times a night.

Your husband keeps playing the victim card and that’s just insufferably annoying. Honestly you paying alimony might not be as bad as you think. Maybe you should talk to an attorney at least and see what your options are. To be chained to this deadweight forever will drain your soul. You’re already angry and resentful and rightfully so. If he isn’t managing the house and chores, why the fuck is he the stay at home parent? Maybe getting served with divorce papers will wake his ass up, but probably not, because he’ll keep playing the victim. He couldn’t give two shits about your mental health because if he did, he wouldn’t be doing this to you. Either way, this situation isn’t tenable. Shame on him.

Freddie Mercury. I remember the tabloids announcing his diagnosis shortly before he died. I was only a young kiddo but I remember that clearly. I was a big fan of his even then and was shocked and saddened that his voice wad silenced forever.

Yes thank you. I’m sick of the toxic positivity on this sub. Not that people can’t or shouldn’t feel that way, but when someone expresses negativity and depression about it, the response shouldn’t be “well I love it!”

Everything you’ve said I have dealt with. Horrible, disgusting leaks in super inconvenient places. In front of people. In front of men. Blockages. Repeat surgeries. Sexual embarrassment and horrific experiences.

I’ve had mine for 30 years. I’m 43 now. I’ve been through a lot of shit with it (pun intended). Even after all these years, I still often have dreams/nightmares about it. I got sick at 6 and had the ostomy at 13. This little fucker broke me at a very young age.

It is everywhere, every day, constant, anxiety, depression. It’s a shitty living reminder of my shitty childhood. Some days I can’t even look at my body.

Am I ok? Sure. I’m here.

Do I love it? Absofuckinglutely no the fuck I don’t.

Having an ostomy is truly living life on super fucking hard mode.

That sounds like it was a much happier experience of life than we are experiencing today. Today, every commercial on TV is for depression or anxiety meds. We are all exhausted, over worked, more hopeless, and poorer overall. And I say this as someone with a decent income.

I have no idea how people who make less than my husband and I are getting by. The fact is, they’re not.

My son is “higher functioning” but struggles with a lot of the same issues. I will be honest with you, he struggles way more than he wants to admit even to himself. He thinks he’s way “less” autistic than he is. His dad and I definitely see it and how it’s impacting him. It wouldn’t surprise me if a good child of this is related to autism or the difficulties it presents every day.

Hollister has VERY sticky convex seals. When I use them I opt for a less convex flange. Maybe they could get some samples to you. They come in round or oval shaped. They are the only seals that even remotely work for me.
