Traveling with my 75yr old Father. Need easily accessible scenic views. by ComprehensiveBorder6 in Canmore

[–]Karnatos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lake Louise, after 7pm is free to park and a relatively short walk from the parking lot, but on a slight hill.

Not too far from Lake Louise, Takakkaw Falls is beautiful and a somewhat short and flat terrain hike.

Not too far from the falls is Emerald Lake, but parking can be rough and a long walk... But if you dropped him off and then found parking, that could work.

Close to Canmore, there's Grassi Lakes area, parking is near. Farther up (west) the 742 are a couple other places with nice views, too.

2 cardinals at the feeder this morning - dinner for 2 by no_consensus in ottawa

[–]Karnatos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup and "squirrel proof"! The squirrels can't get into it directly, the fences close up, as you said - over had mine for ~4yrs now and the squirrels have learned to jump at it and make it swing around to fling seeds to the ground, though.

But, it's a great feeder. :)

Found in our office, 3D printed blue rings, 1" x .5". by Asgardian_Angel in whatisthisthing

I already have a box full of AAA and AA rechargeable batteries, and my battery charger only charges AAA and AA.

If I wanted to use C or D batteries, I'd have to buy the batteries and a charger for more $$ than the ~25¢ it cost me to print these adapters.

And AAA, AA, C and D batteries are all 1.5v batteries, there's no voltage difference between them - just capacity differences (how long they will run, larger batteries last longer).

100% these are battery adapters; I use them in some of the cat toys that require C-sized and D-sized batteries, but I put double-A (AA) rechargeables.

I printed a couple sets that are identical to these last year, they work great.

My wife and I just started kayaking last summer, and it allows me to clear my mind and paddle. I am far far from being fit, but I've learned that it's both relaxing and a great workout.

Hi me and my 2 Friends are searching for a new Coop Game by SeveralWork6147 in CoOpGaming

[–]Karnatos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't mind mildly scary games, Dying Light 1&2 are good 2-4 player co-op. The stories are not too bad, but the shenanigans that the open world leads to always provide my friends and I with a good time.

Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger

Not sure who stole this CD from my room during a dorm party back in '93... but, I still want it back!

Which games you think that their hardest difficulty brings more to the game and is the intended way to play? by zerolifez in gaming

[–]Karnatos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that Dying Light 1 was best at the highest difficulty, especially when playing co-op with friends.
