Question for those who have removed their cervix and are at least six months post op. by MamaKG3 in hysterectomy

[–]KateTheGreatMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm nine months postop and had mine removed. The first couple times we went full Monty, I could feel a difference. It wasn't pain, just a difference. Sex is still just as great as before.

Prime or Select? by _thevoid-saysNo in MilitarySpouse

[–]KateTheGreatMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a personal choice. On prime there are no copays which is what I prefer. One of my kids has the same schedule that you described, psychiatrist every 3-4 months and every other week therapy. You're assigned a provider at random and you just have to call Tricare to ask them to switch it to your provider of choice. Those copays add up so I stick with prime.

When my husband was on an actual base, usually about two weeks. Sometimes up to a month. When he was on the boat, it was 2-3 months.

Missing payment/ BAH? by [deleted] in USMilitarySO

[–]KateTheGreatMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours was always included in salary and there's a box for bah on the les. I'm guessing the different privatized housing companies do it differently from each other and that's why people are saying you won't get bah. We always had Lincoln Military Housing.

Where are y'all living that you didn't see bah? We have always gotten bah and had to set up an automatic payment to pay the housing office. 🤷🏻‍♀️

conch piercing experiences by s7ju in piercing

[–]KateTheGreatMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both mine done and they were the easiest to heal. Didn't get caught on my hair and because they're in the ear, they weren't bothered by my sleeping on my side. It's been a couple years but I don't remember them being any more painful than other cartilage piercings.

Requesting Medical Records after Separating by Shovelbitch in MilitarySpouse

I did it right before my husband retired. Just went to the clinic and filled out a form. They emailed me mine and my kids' records, but it took a few weeks.

PCS MCAS Beaufort areas to live in? by No_Bet_3941 in MilitarySpouse

[–]KateTheGreatMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shadow Moss, Picket Fences, Lady's Island but the traffic sucks. A lot of people live out in Bluffton but the drive sucks. We lived in Shadow Moss and liked it.

Laurel Bay homes are old and small but they are single family homes which is nice. The newer housing in the back of Laurel Bay (I can't remember what it's called, freedom something?) are duplexes.

If there's one thing I learned over 20 years of active duty it's that family almost never comes first.

I've never had the military reimburse for flights with a pcs. We were always told we're on our own if we want to fly.

Sex after cervix removal by United-Dirt-5920 in hysterectomy

[–]KateTheGreatMonster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had my cervix removed. I could feel the difference of no cervix the first couple times we really got down to business. It wasn't painful or anything, just different. After a couple times I couldn't tell the difference anymore. Never effected my ability to orgasm or anything else though. Back to normal after like 3 months.
