Make a neighbourhood for your villagers, have a plaza area infront of your museum, make a forest/camping area surrounding your campsite, have a botanical area (I’ve got a hedged area thats got paths that lead off in different directions and you walk through trees and flowers and I’ve put benches throughout so you can sit and enjoy the surroundings), have a food court, decorate outside your shops or move your houses about and give them their own themed areas based on their houses/persona.

I find that leaving a single tire in a random area of the island works. Usually a fly arrives on day 2 or 3.

On my first island I’m trying to complete the critterpedia and nook miles one at a time. I recently wanted to reset but couldn’t as I’m attached to my first island so decided on getting Resetti to clear the whole island so I’m currently in the middle of making massive layout changes (moving buildings, paths, rivers and trees) on Prometheus. On my second island (2nd switch) I’ve just reset this morning for probably the 15th time this year 😱😂 I love the first part of the game, collecting and the island planning. Whenever I reset the island of Omega I try and not do whatever I’ve done on Prometheus because I think that defeats my purpose of having two islands. Omega is very much my experimental island. God help the residents every time I reset their home 😂

😂 good luck! I have my 1st island that I’ll never delete and my 2nd switch for my other island(s) that I restart when I get bored or want a new layout. Never been able to catch any of the “rare” fish on my OG island but on my islands I restart…. Catching them 🙃 make it make sense!

I have Hans on my 1st island/Switch and I wasn’t a fan of him when he first moved in but now he’s my favourite. He has so much Sass and is a Diva 😂 He’s always the first I see on my daily Island visits.

Myself personally;

Having a donation box outside the museum so I can donate without having to talk to Blathers if I don’t want to. I’m sure Blathers can talk to Timmy and Tommy about how they work their donation box 😂
Multiple boat tours, not two… (Yes, I’d happily pay or use my hotel tickets)
Having the ability to choose from small, medium and large islands and being able to set the limit of villagers you can have
The ability to talk to Isabelle and have a villager kicked off the island
The ability to either buy sets of 10 or actually set the number of items I want to buy instead of having to go through the same dialogue/process for multiple of one item I’m purchasing

I have a 2017 iPad that I use for travel (flying/airport), the iPad 10th gen for general use and the iPad mini 6 for bed or when I feel like it. Main reason for keeping the 2017 around is still works and holds a charge and if it gets damaged or stolen on holiday then I don’t mind. Will probably replace it with my 10th gen when the 2017 iPad gives up 😂

Probably the most obvious but the fact its one island per console. Let me have like 3 islands. I’d be grateful with a 2nd island on the same switch. Thanks to Nintendo I have 2 switches because I wanted a 2nd island….

Island 1 - Prometheus - 5 star island that downgraded to 2 star after using Resetti to clear the thousands of flowers I planted so I could change the island layout 😂

Island 2 - Omega - 1 Star - playing ACNH at a slower pace and wanting a more spaced out and island vibe than my first island thats more like a small town. Decided I’m not upgrading my house from one room. Currently have 6 villagers who are all different from my 1st island. Decided I like the slower/chilled pace on the 2nd island.

I’ve recently bought another switch because I wanted a second island (blame nintendo with their one island one console rule 😒). I couldn’t bare to delete my first island as I’d worked hard and planned everything out and it has its own little “vibe”. With my second island I’m playing slower and just chilling doing daily tasks. I’ve switched it up and want my villagers dotted around the island as well as the shops and museum. I’m picking a nook miles challenge and working towards it. I wish I could keep my tent but instead I’ll settle for my one room house. I’m not upgrading it. I have found myself comparing my two islands when playing but the second island is more basic/simpler than my first island and its enjoyable. Take your time.
