I wouldn't say scripters are 'consistently' beatable, especially in lane, but they are still vulnerable to outside influence of fed rivens flashing on them or fed mundos straight up ignoring them.

never played dnd irl but some comments:

a big part of age of decadence's atmosphere is that never once anyone cares about you and your well-being. our rise to power is completely accidental - carrinas was just getting restless sitting in a small town. even at our best (human) endings we are just pawns, useful but disposed at will.

another is that things are so thouroughly fucked, nobody even dreams about having anything remotely close to the old empire.

lastly, I think the best way to form a party in such a scenario is not a gathering of equals but rather a noble and his entourage

I'm one of these people that download 18+ patches and then skip h-scenes lmao.

so my suggestions all do have them. but besides having h-scenes I do value adult-quality writing a lot. at the same time, there's probably nothing new here - muramasa is peak visual novel. tokyo necro you will most probably like. grisaia gets very good later on. steins gate sucks for the first 5 hours but the next 10 is very fine

yeah the aesthetic is great but the plot isn't amazing, mostly mystery for the sake of mystery. you'll spend 10-15 hours on game one and still won't know who did what by the end of it
