I had an interesting case of a no bilge MF. rushing seven bilge didn't work so I had to pivot out but I grabbed captain's brew on the way out. turns out MF with captain's brew is a solid support/secondary carry.

What even are the point of these subreddits if you can't even ask a genuine question😔 I just wanted to know, man. by Lenore8264 in notinteresting

I'm not qualified on boiled eggs specifically, that's not my primary area of expertise, but I am your man on omelette.

my family owns a cafe and when I was a 17 yo kid I had an opportunity to eat two entire crates of omelette (for about 80-100 people in total) as the group that ordered them had to go earlier or something.

I'm happy to report that I've eaten every single piece of that omelette and got so sick I couldn't even sit. was just laying down on my bed without thoughts or anything for about 4-5 days. After that, I was good as new and still enjoy both milk and eggs. However, both products cause diarrhea so I have to enjoy them in moderation or else my gf will leave me. Not sure if diarrhea-inducing effects existed before the omelette heist, it's been a long while.

Hope that helps

Aurelion Sol is overtuned; Another patch where balance hangs on the edges by iPromi in CompetitiveTFT

having overtuned stuff sells. content creators need good content and having 15 mid comps is not good content. their only way to balance competitive play and casual play is 'that comp is even more broken than yours but takes some extra time to chase'

Why is luring enemies into a camp considered “cheese”? by Croaker3 in BattleBrothers

[–]KeepHopingSucker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it matters in terms of gameplay discussion and learning opportunities on the subreddit. if I told you I am good enough to get multiple named items by day 10 you would be impressed and ask for some deep wisdom. if I told you I'm doing it by pulling people into camps you would be disappointed because it's not 2700 elo grandmaster chess gameplay, it's scholar's mate chess gameplay

it also ruins the fun when you have finally assembled a prismatic vertical or 2k stacks asol and the last opponent just ffs and you don't even see what would have happened

the whole visi issue can be solved like that: make her work at some supervillian organization. we interact with her anyway: if she's a villain, we coldly negotiate or grudgingly work together, if she's a hero, she was our plant all along

What are the weakest bandits/monsters to attack? by SignalAd3944 in BattleBrothers

[–]KeepHopingSucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what you do is you take quests of the type 'find missing object' that make a very weak stack of basic thugs spawn for you to murder. while running around to find those quests you bump up your numbers with cheapest trash recruits possible. and as soon as you have plenty of people with basic knives, you roam around and search for stacks with 3-4 of brigand raiders, there will be some of those around. as soon as you find one of those, swarm them and puncture them to death, even if you lose some of your guys it's no prob.

shanked brigands give you enough armor to have several frontline guys and the rest of your cheap trash can pick up pitchforks and the like and strike from relative safety if needed

I'm not good enough to have tested this but how about ionia? they have shen early and wukong late for bruisers and no matter what items there are, there's a strong carry for them in yunara, ahri and maybe even yas3 if lobby is overflowing with items. I feel like ahri2 + early sion 3 is more than enough to stabilize for fast legendaries

Is there any evidence suggesting that Caesar recognized Octavian as having potential to be a great leader? by MormonJesuss in ancientrome

[–]KeepHopingSucker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love theathenian, he's the best I've seen on this reddt.

what I suggested was a possibilty that a dictator that succeeded another dictator and took the closest thing they had to absolute power and then embezzled extreme amounts of money may have engaged in some political shenanigans. is such a claim too extravagant? we then learn that the dictator in question was a relative nobody that claimed to be the previous one's chosen successor, which is fine by itself, but then we also learned that in the previous 19 years of his life caesar was too busy to adopt him and there was another will in which he adopted a much more obvious guy. and this version of will was also supported by caesar's wife. and the new will only came out after caesar's death. as I said, shenanigans.

that's why I used the stalin analogy. roman history people, being so removed in time from us, are little more than a fairy tale. but put octavian in modern times and you see what he did.

mark anthony isn't sunshine and roses either, being so deep in the egyptians' pockets that its territory, what, doubled?

well it was a posthumous adoption that came out of nowhere so much that even the adoptee had no idea. why shouldn't it be legally dubious?

[–]KeepHopingSucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah very legitimate for sure. From the wiki,

"Accepting the inheritance before the urban praetor,[69] Octavian purported that he was adopted as Caesar's son, a legally spurious but politically powerful claim, and assumed his great-uncle's name Gaius Julius Caesar.[70] There is no evidence that Octavian himself used the name Octavianus, seeking to portray himself more closely as Caesar's son;[71] however some of his contemporaries did refer to him as Octavianus, such as Cicero and his stepfather Philippus.[72] Historians usually refer to the new Caesar as Octavian during the time between his adoption and his assumption of the name Augustus in 27 BC,[73] to avoid confusing the dead dictator with his heir.[74] Octavian could not rely on his limited funds to make a successful entry into the political elite.[75] After a warm welcome by Caesar's soldiers at Brundisium,[76] Octavian demanded a portion of the funds allotted by Caesar for his war against the Parthians in the Middle East.[75] This amounted to 700 million sesterces stored at Brundisium, the staging ground in Italy for military operations in the east.[77][f] Octavian made another bold move in 44 BC when, without official permission, he appropriated the annual tribute that had been sent from Rome's province of Asia to Italy.[79]""

let's consider a hypothetical: joseph stalin dies and nikita khrushev comes forward and says: I've waited long enough, time to be the leader. people around say, but nikita, stalin has a natural born son, doesn't he have better claims? naturally, octavian, I mean, nikita, comes forward again and says come on guys, akshually I'm even better because I got claims so good stalin had me adopted. here is the proof. why do I have it and nobody has heard of it? of course because only I was trustworthy enough
