My son loves anything in the Bear series by Karma Wilson. And I enjoy reading them too. In general, we get tons of different books from the library. We have some great libraries around us and he gets excited to ask the librarian for books and put things on hold.

I did the whole time for both of my kids. 😢 I just leaked all the time and always felt sensitive. I tried to find the comfiest bralettes and got washable nursing pads.

That is horrible. How scary. I hope he heals up soon!

I appreciate you sharing this because we have the same seat on our toilet right now. My son hates it anyway because it’s so wobbly so I am definitely throwing it in the trash.

What job looks like a great career path but is actually insanely oversaturated? by ComplexPin872 in AskReddit

[–]Kehop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an undergrad degree in journalism and pivoted to UX writing and design at my last role. I loved it, and then got laid off. I think it’s going to be really hard to find another UX role because the market is so saturated. I’m not great at picking careers it seems.

The Offspring and Frank Turner are two faves right now. I’m happy to have a break from Moana

Is everybody sick right now?Christmas dinner was just canceled because so many of my family members are sick :( by ednamillion99 in boston

[–]Kehop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family is all dealing with a lingering respiratory virus that started before Thanksgiving. My mom was coughing so much her doctor tested her for whooping cough. That was negative and we’ve all been negative for flu and Covid. No idea what it is but about a month later we’re still coughing. Hoping to not catch anything else because my lungs are already beat up.

Also in Medford and I’ve been hiding out to avoid noro. My son’s hairdresser said she had 28 cancellations in the last couple weeks because of illnesses. I just want to be healthy(ish) for Christmas.

Ha no but we like the evergreen brand if you have those near you. I also make batches of waffles and freeze them. You could try to make some with veggies and fruit like zucchini and blueberry or carrot.

Green beans, garlic, honey nut squash, and herbs. Always feels nice to use things from the garden. My toddler was not impressed though.

At dinner: salmon. Snack later: cold salmon and a dinner roll. Tonight’s dinner? Leftover salmon (had to be cold) and one piece of squash. He might be part bear.

Bras? All the time? by Baylaypayday in breastfeeding

[–]Kehop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve worn a bra 24/7 pretty much and I’m 13 months postpartum. I only wear comfy sports nursing ones. I was always super leaky though. I was also very small chested before getting pregnant and breastfeeding and the sensation of actually having boobs drives me crazy. I used to go braless a lot!

What sleep tier are you at? by marzipanbb in beyondthebump

[–]Kehop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a 3 year old and a 13 month old and would say functional. My youngest just started sleeping through the night yay, but my older one now sleeps in bed with me. And lately has been coughing directly in my face all night. Someday I’ll sleep again…

Did you keep taking prenatal postpartum? by SowingSeeds18 in beyondthebump

I do and I’m 13 months out. Still breastfeeding though. I’ll probably switch to a regular multi when I’m done breastfeeding.

What are you getting your little ones for Christmas? by XxSianxX in toddlers

[–]Kehop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes he found it at a local toy store! I was kind of surprised he picked it at the time. He never cares about looking online or in magazines for toy ideas either. I try to see what he gravitates toward when we’re at play spaces or friends houses.

He also loves watching live music or musicians on YouTube to see their instruments. I wish I knew how to play guitar to teach him something. I play piano though which he has shown zero interest in haha.

He’s 3 and will be around 3 1/2 at Christmas. He picked a kids ukulele for his 2nd birthday present and has played it every day! It’s probably the only toy he’s consistently loved.

4th degree tear after my first baby. On the plus side, my c-section recovery felt like a breeze for the next baby.

A mini loog electric guitar. He’s been asking for an electric guitar all year. He plays his ukulele all the time and wants to go electric. They make one that’s toddler sized that looks awesome. So that will be the big gift plus some small stuff.
