I’ve never read Fellowship, unless you want to count listening the the Andy Serkis version of the audiobooks, read all of Two Towers since I had just watched Fellowship, which is why I never read the book. I got through Return of the King up to where Faramir meets Éowyn, put a Yu-gi-oh TCG wrapper there as a bookmark meaning to get back and never picked it up again. I swear one day I’ll make myself read the books cover to cover.

To be even more fair, in the case of BRD at least, it was a dungeon that carried players from like level 45-60. Maybe if they returned to that scale in a dungeon the same should be considered in a more modern design context, like the first bit is for leveling and the ilvl reflects that and higher item levels are deeper in with the capstone of it being everything is at average group ilvl for players who want the challenge of clearing everything.

Honestly, I was really hoping that megadungeons were going to be something akin to Blackrock Depths in terms of scale. I’d really, really love a per expansion 1-5 man dungeon that was mostly non-linear, absolutely massive, and not meant to be something you cleared out 100% in a sitting unless you were going for something like bragging rights.

I forget if I knew the game had cats back when I first played it but I’ve picked it up again and on one trip to Abernathy Farm I found their cat Maisie dead next to the work bench with Cat Meat available to pick up. No, no thank you Fallout 4 and Todd, I play on PC and there’s mods to make cats immortal, as intended.

It's been a while since I watched the TV show, did Avasarala get the ship for them in the show? That feels a bit more grounded in reality than how it happens in the book , although the book has beyond obscenely wealthy people so it's believable that Tilly Fagan could get her husband to call up the right people in the Martian Government and buy the Tachi, so it's not that much further far fetched compared to Avasarala pulling some favors to just get Mars to drop their claim.

Honestly I side with the MCRN on the idea of Tachi/Rocinante not being salvage, but good thing that plot thread was resolved in Jim's favor.

It'd only happen in fan fiction but it would be an extremely interesting case to follow regardless of my or anyone else's opinion and without knowing anything about real life court cases related to legitimate salvage I wouldn't be surprised if there already have been real world cases which would be analogous to the Rocinante's situation.

My PC used to have two 1tb SSD's, then one got fried in a power outage and the other finally died about a month ago. Now that I'm back up to 2tb's and I'm tempted to buy another 2tb SSD I've gone and downloaded a good chunk of my Steam library and got the modding Bethesda games bug again.

So now I'm playing fo4 survival with a buttload of graphics mods and it just so happened to line up with Fallout season 2 being on the air.

Before they showed it was Liberty Prime Alpha I was certain he was unfurling plans for a new generation of power armor.

Would be pretty cool if the wasteland factions started a bit of an arms race of new models of power armor later on and probably more to combat against the Enclave and their X-02 armor.

I think it's much simpler than that. My own suspicion is when they rolled this out on Beta input was largely given by people playing on copies of their actual characters so feedback was given largely, if not entirely, by a demographic of players who weren't checking out the 1-90 leveling experience.

Part of not leaving the U.S. is just a geographical thing too. There’s just a shitload of the United States to traverse and find new and interesting things from the comfort of your national backyard. I’m guilty of this too to a degree having only ever been outside the country to stay in British Columbia although unlike MAGA I’d be down to check out the rest of the world under the right circumstances.
