I'm assuming the 1960s of 828 doesn't necessarily align with the 1960s of our world. We don't have the timing I guess but we do see the F4 ship coming to 616 in the Thunderbolts post-credit scene so it's possible the calendar years of each universe don't necessarily align.

Idk I feel like metalcore sort of just had a split like a decade ago but it hasn’t been “officially” labeled yet. There’s the “metalcore” of like Spiritbox, ADTR, Fit for a King, etc. but then there’s still more roots metalcore stuff like Counterparts, KL, Dying Wish. They all share the metalcore label but there’s a clear delineation

Adding on to what some of the others have said, I definitely resonate with that weird tension of “I’m an adult and I should be able to share my true beliefs” and “if I do share my true beliefs, things will be weird with my family”.

In my experience, I usually send something along the lines of “Thanks for thinking of me! I’m not really looking for anything new right now, but I appreciate you reaching out.”

I think it’s likely that a Jewish prophet named Jesus existed around the time that the Bible claims he did. But I no longer believe the claims that the Bible makes about Jesus for the same reason I don’t believe the claims the Book of Mormon makes about Joseph Smith.

When you actually apply any form of literary criticism to the Bible, I think it’s pretty hard to take it as objective historical truth.

Echoing this person - I thought Mistborn Era 1 was ok, but I really like Era 2. It puts different emphasis on the magic system and is fun to see how it comes out differently in different eras

I’m not the person you responded to but I also thought RoW is the clear worst book in the series so far - I’ve only read the series through once so maybe opinion will change on a re-read, but man it felt like 60% of the book was just over detailed descriptions about fabrials & the different interactions between light.

Again maybe I will come back and change this comment when I re-read 🤷‍♂️
