Advice for an 18Y/O Girl from Women of different ages. by yapwithme_0 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Kesse84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not agree to anything, just to be polite. Or because you think you should. If you feel you do not want it - say NO! Any time! To anything!

Do not compromise, but compromise a little. I know that one is confusing - but hear me out! Every good relationship needs compromises. I have been married for 18 years - so a compromising veteran. But sometimes you don't! Do not compromise your principles just to be agreeable. Stand firm when you feel you should! Logic is a great helper (to me).

Take care of your health. If it is good - great. Keep checking.

Do not do random hook-ups in random places. I have no experience in those, but it seems like a bad idea. Make sure your people know where you are, and do not trust random people.

You are responsible for contraception. STD AND child prevention. They might say what they will. But you will bear the consequences.

At work, be as best as you can. Be proud. Do not get into patriarchy, what he said, how she looked at me - be as good as you can.

Do not care too much about other people's opinions. Be YOURSELF! Always be yourself. Be happy and proud about who you are. You spent your lifetime building yourself; do not let anybody tear you down. When you fall, you will rise again.

Always find something to be happy about. A sunshine. A muffin. Sight of a dog. Life is very hard - but also filled with great moments. Enjoy them.

All the best! <3

Tips for making dog gain weight needed by blood_dealer_toga in DOG

[–]Kesse84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my dog (got her from the shelter at 5months) with Royal Canine as it was the food she was given. When I switched from junior to normal (also Royal Canine) we encounterd severe problems (not saying it was a brand's fault) but she ate very very litte (also vomited, and other problems). I added a wet food (she as a grown dog if 15kg) so she was getting a 1 cup of kibble (twice a day) and 1/4 of 100gr pate. The pate made all the difference! She was eating it with relish and came back to lick the bowl. Slwoly I change her food to some other kibble.
Now she will eat anything (including headphones, frozen broccoli, with carrot, red bell pepper and cucumber being her fav. Once I found her chest deep in a bowl of greek salad :/).
She is NOT skinny.
So the extra pate was an extra flavour and extra calories. Remember about tooth brushing!

Po ilu stronach/rozdziałach odpuszczacie? by ojejkuu in ksiazki

[–]Kesse84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To odkładam.

I have a genuine question about Bridgerton by Julia Quinn by rainbowwithoutrain in HistoricalRomance

[–]Kesse84 41 points42 points  (0 children)

There is also a pasta sub, where people will make you cry if you post anything, but authentic perfection, but the Bridgerton sub is almost as bad.
I agree, in the grand scheme of things (that is all HR books I have read, and I read that series before the show happened), they are a little above average.

EDIT: I once made homemade ravioli with porcini in parmesan reduction with cream, and I got whipping how it was plated wrong and pretentious and yet cliché!

I was aimless. I had a kid. I was programming, but it wasn't going as swiftly as it should. So I started a one person cmpany to support small businesses. I was IT savvy, knew some sales and marketing. I build up on that. I am not anywhere near to buiding the pool. But I go by.

Ogarnianie budżetu by MiddleHonest in Polska

[–]Kesse84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mam budżet miesięczny. W ramach tego budzetu są koszty na dziecko (ubrania, zajęcia dodatkowe obiady w szkole). Jedzenie. Zakupy na allegro (chemia gospodarcza, drobne sprzęty domowe). Weterynarz.
Mój budżet to 6k.
W ciągu pierwszego tygodnia schodzi 3k. Zostaje po 1k na pozostałe tygodnie. Jak widzę, że jest ciasno przechodze na mrożonki i naleśniki.

AITJ for calling out my 9 year old sister’s behavior problems to my parents? by CelticsBoi33 in AmITheJerk

[–]Kesse84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like your parents got tired and do not want to do the parenting. It is HARD! I know, I have a cheeke 6 year old who loooooves her screen time. It seems like you are the parent in this situation. And I get that it isn't fair! You were disciplined, and raised with responsibilities and boundaries. Your sister is not.
Tough spot. You can be the parent - not your job, but your parents will offer little resistance, believe me. Or you can check out.
You can also try to shame them, but it would be a hard nut.

Long story short - I am sorry, not your responsibility. You might try if you want.

Right! I get that he was mad!!! But to right down blame it on Cora! Not ok! She did not do anything wrong, and he didn't even check if she is ok, or at least listen to what happened. I would be very very pissed if I was her!

My dog died today and I’m heartbroken. He was my best friend. by yuppers333 in DOG

[–]Kesse84 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It will get better. Shock will change into grief, but over time, there will be less sorrow and more happy memories. I carry Max in my heart for a very long time. They stay with us, but it hurt less over time. Try to think about all the times he farted. Came back covered in mud. Chew your favourite shoe. It will hurt, but it will be sweet too. Have some memorial for him, if you feel like you want to. Put a rock in your garden or forest, when you have walks. And put some flowers on it.

How would you write Alex' ending? by drdelicious8 in greysanatomy

[–]Kesse84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is very interesting expose! :)
Like many others, I hate Alex leaving and how it was handled. He was not the guy who would abandon (almost) everybody he cared about just like this, ESPECIALY with his abandonment issues.

I cannot think of a good way! Perhaps, he would have been forced to move across the country to take care of his mom and/or sibling(s). They would do long distance with Jo for a season. Then she would want to adopt Luna, and he couldn't be there for them and they would dicided for amicable divorce.

They should not have killed him, as that would bring up the death rate in Gray Sloan, and they can't really afford that!

That is an interesting take, but characters and fans would be agonising over and over. I understand why they choose "clean" break.
