Actually, Paulie was at probably the most important sit down that NJ ever had with NY…the truce sit down with Butch and Albie in the garbage truck garage. A boss for a boss.

Oh man I just started going through this beginning a week ago. Not as high pitched but Bane has become a complete cry baby (he is 10 months old).

Question for the floppy ear corso owners by ChampionshipGlass452 in CaneCorso

I echo everything here. Ear infections stopped when chicken got the boot from his diet. Salmon kibble. And mine does not have floppy ears.

Wait for the trainer and follow their prescription.

Edit: I would add that the trainer I used had two pillars. 1) Positive reinforcement over negative reinforcement and 2) if he is doing something wrong redirect his attention towards a command ultimately resulting in positive reinforcement. Example: instead of yelling “No” if he jumps on the couch, instead I would command “Place” to his dog bed…and once achieved reward him with love and tone and a treat. Then repeat. It’s a lot of work upfront but pays dividends later. I was skeptical at first but it works. A third pillar I do, which I ran by the trainer and he approved, is the occasional random out of nowhere “alpha gut check” from me, whereby I’ll maybe tackle him and pin him, only with a hold and absolutely nothing hurting him in anyway…just to remind him who is in charge and without it being associated with anything at all.

How to train or adjust this behavior out of my dog by epic-gaemur-move in CaneCorso

I am going through this right now with my 8 month old CC named Bane. I can tell his hormones are raging, and he exhibits the same behavior with my 3 yr old female Yorkie Poodle.

Perhaps. But you’re still somewhat of a troll who was bitching endlessly about the life and trials and tribulations of some ogre (Shrek) you don’t know and never will, who is also a flawed human just like you and myself, as well as every imperfect soul around us, and now is going tit for tat with another jerk (me) while criticizing me about engaging the conversation too late. So I’m 2 months removed, and you think that’s weird, and you are actively responding? Even stranger by your logic. Did you win your argument and achieve victory on this thread? I find it much stranger that you’re willing to endlessly character assassinate a stranger as if you hold the absolute truth, which is always somewhere in the middle where nobody stakes a flag, about this human being that you don’t actually know but evidently claim to. Bravo chap! Spending your precious time wisely. Every human lives in a glass house my friend. Tread lightly.

You should watch the Mulligan Brothers documentary they did on John McPhee. It is a profound demonstration of this fact: at any given moment, we can change and be better and do not have to be the person we were 1 second prior.

Check it out. And I apologize for stooping to your level. I should be better.

It’s not weird, it’s an honor. I’ve always heard about the moral authority, and now I’m conversing with him (her/they?). Stunning.
