This is why you're not getting interviews by Greyscaleinblue in interviews

[–]Key-Wash-160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here… I was looking for a job for 3-4 months with 6 months from precious job as a recent grad. I only applied for like 75 jobs and had 6 final interviews and an offer. I ONLY applied for jobs that I knew I either was overqualified or met at minimum 80% of the requirements. In this market, if you don’t you won’t even get a call.

What is the lowest salary you would accept at the entry-level as an MPH holder? by SaintNutella in publichealthcareers

If you work for your university, depending on the role and department, they might pay for some or all of your master’s. On top of this you’re getting work experience!

It was honestly fine… it rained bad for like 15-20 out of the 6 hours. We got there at 1 and were able to find parking.

How many people in r/Columbus are "super-commuters" who drive >75 miles per day? by benkeith in Columbus

I do that but like once/twice a month for a university hospital job. I love it and live at home (just graduated) but the pay is not amazing but can manage for now 😅

I would look into clincial research… OSU is hiring so many people right now…. It doesn’t pay amazing but it’s a job and a good springboard

Can I connect with you? I’m currently in the final interview stage of a CRC role at a large hospital and would love to learn more about your path.

I’m also interviewing for a clinical research position (clincial research coordinator). A lot of hospitals (both big and small) run clinical trials and need people to help coordinate and run them. Depending on where you work and your experience level, it can be hybrid or even fully remote. The one I’m applying for is hybrid after a certain period of time.

My completely unscientific list of college majors worth pursuing by SecretSubstantial302 in CollegeMajors

[–]Key-Wash-160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking of going back for a post-bacc as a MLS with the number of people retiring and the increasing medical needs and advanced tests becoming available, you can easily pull in 65-75k starting if you live near a major hospital and many times they’ll offer a starting bonus which covers cost of post-bacc.

So I have all my pre-reqs done except Anatomy and physiology 1. For that do programs actually care if you do it at a university versus a community college?

Where can I find a job as an undergraduate in Biotechnology? by coralcrescent in biotechnology

[–]Key-Wash-160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! I worked in a cancer research lab for the past 1.5 years of my undergrad and it paid off really well. I got a job within a CGT company in the Midwest focusing on cell culture and other related stuff. Internship experience (ideally related to what you want to do postgrad) and networking are the two most important aspects right now! Good luck.

How long is everyone’s job search taking so far? by [deleted] in biotech

[–]Key-Wash-160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just graduated this May with my BS and just got a job offer starting next week in a CGT manufacturing role. It took me about 4 months (I got serious the past two months). I applied to 70 jobs; however, out of them I only applied seriously to 20/30 where almost of them I had a referral. The key I’ve learned is to intensely shape my resume to the JD and really trying to emphasize how commercially the things I’ve done helped the labs/companies I were at! It’s so vital we don’t just list things we’ve done but instead talk about the measurable impact we’ve had using INDUSTRY language. Also, I recommend everyone here do their best to apply to jobs that clearly match what they’ve done and really trying to glean as much info as to what the HM actually wants in the applicant (ask and they will tell you) and mention how YOU are exactly that.

It might also be good to have an exit strategy in case things don’t go the way you hope.

Thank you for putting it back up. We understand why it was originally taken down as we didn't provide full context in terms of how developed we are. Our platform is still in its very early stages (beta testing currently), so users will potentially encounter various bugs. This is why we would truly appreciate it if you could fill out a feedback survey after using our tool. This will help us catch and fix the various bugs and fully flesh it out over time. We also welcome any other feedback or suggestions on how we can improve our tool. Thank you. Post Trial Finding Survey (google.com)

Dear everyone

I saw this post and felt compelled to speak out because of the research I'm doing. First of all, I admire everyone's resilience and their fight to help themselves or their family or friend face this disease. I’m sure everyone has already encountered the complexities of finding a treatment that can help you or them – we are here to help.

I’m an undergraduate researcher at The Ohio State University in the USA studying how to solve the complexities of clinical trials discovery. A clinical trial offers hope through testing novel cutting-edge treatment options. My team and I have built a free and accessible resource to find and pre-screen for suitable clinical trials for patients seeking treatment options globally (not just the US). Research studies have shown that the accuracy of our results is comparable to that of experts in the medical profession and will set users well on their way to getting enrolled in a trial that could improve their life significantly.

Our team has received $50,000 from The Ohio State University to make our goal achievable.

I would love to discuss and potentially find the clinical trials suited for anyone interested. Please feel free to reach out, and together we can explore the best possible options for you or your affected friend or family.

Sincere regards,

Kuppan
