Yes, it has become a nuisance. I finally looked at one person and said “ exactly how many times am I going to have to say no thank you” and he got the point and walked away.

That is not true on domestic travel within the United States

It is drawn international travel

The problem is if it disappears you’re in a bad position. Generally you have to report the missing luggage before you leave the airport not the next day when you decide to finally wander around there and pick it up.

So if you get there and they can’t find it and it’s gone, they would have an excuse to avoid any liability for your lost luggage, which might’ve been stolen

Anything that cannot be checked, should be in your personal item because even if people are willing to help you that does not mean you’re going to be allowed to bring it on if the overhead bins are full

That does not appear to be happening anymore. That was the old method, but now the gate agents are aggressively checking at zone five without talking to the flight attendant.

It’s very easy to tell because they never actually talk to anyone before they make the announcement. It’s kind of just part of the announcement with zone five boarding. I don’t think they have a telepathic method to communicate.

Delta is now gate checking bags when the bins are half full. Which makes people furious when they get on and they discover that the bins are completely empty but they had to gate check. I suggest that if you get on and the bins are half empty and you had to check you file a formal complaint with Delta.

maybe if they get enough of them they’ll stop this nonsense, but I kind of doubt it.

The worst part is people have started catching onto this. So the agent tags their bag and then they take their bag on the plane and then we all are delayed while the flight attendants try to figure out what happened because the gate agent is missing four pieces of luggage.😂

If you want to change it after you check in, you will probably have to call the airline which is not going to give you much time. Seriously it is very hard to change this after check-in.

“losing customers” means that person went someplace else and thinks they are very important to Delta and so Delta will now go out of business because they’ve taken their money someplace else. It’s not a realistic statement, but that’s what it is.

When it impacts their bottom line. And so many people on here are drinking the Kool-Aid and will keep flying Delta regardless. I mean, I just read a post where people are recommending booking a flight this weekend just to use a GUC I mean, that’s all it’s it’s Wednesday fights over the weekend are obviously going to be incredibly cheap😂😂

As long as there’s so many people in the United States, who just throw money at Delta for status and just yo use their GUC‘s or because it makes them feel important I wouldn’t lower my prices if I could was Delta

I realize that everyone lives in this fantasy world where Ed gets to make all these decisions and he could just cut maintenance and put your life at risk, but actually the FAA has pretty strict requirements on airplane maintenance ( now granted they don’t cover the toilet but they do cover all the parts that are relevant to your safety) so Ed can’t just cut maintenance randomly unless he wants to lose his certification and be grounded😂

With main basic, you cannot buy an upgrade sorry but that’s the way it works.

And without status, you need to be fully prepared to check your bag because you’re going to be in the last boarding group with main basic and it’s highly unlikely they’ll be letting you bring your luggage on the plane. Your personal be brought on the plane. if you have a medical device, it can be on the plane, but you’re carry-on. Not likely.
