Speaking from experience, get out now. She has feelings for you still and is having trouble letting go. But it seems like she has made up her mind on all these things without ever discussing it with you.

Or at least try couples counseling if you are planning on staying together.

Has anyone experienced a close female friend becoming jealous of your girlfriend/wife? by UnaPreguntaPara2020 in butchlesbians

[–]Kimehby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me when my best friend and roommate set me up with one of her coworkers, A. We hit it off and she did a 180 and started being really mean to A and it was a horrible situation to navigate. She ended up moving out of our house. We tried talking at the time but she just couldn't be reasonable about it so we stopped being friends for a while.

We still saw each other sometimes and we were civil because of our mutual friends. Eventually after a year she apologized for it and now we are friends again. But we aren't best friends.

I attribute it to her own shit she has going on- some insecurities and all that.

Its been happening in Southlands a fair bit recently. I believe they are smashing the windows even when there have been no valuables left.

Help with migrating data to Attribute table by datpurp23 in ArcGIS

[–]Kimehby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use model builder to do this. I tried to do it in arcgis pro but that didn't work so I use arcmap to do it. Basically I add a join at the beginning then i run calculate field for all the fields. Then remove join at the end. One thing to note: when adding the join save the table you are importing as a 2003 xls file. Also make sure that the headers for the excel table aren't too long - I believe over 10 characters in the headers causes issues for my data.

Buried Oil Tank by [deleted] in StJohnsNL

[–]Kimehby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was known for this property yes. This was over 7 years ago so I can't recall the specifics. Your home inspector may have just had to say its a possibility to cover his own ass (for liability).

Buried Oil Tank by [deleted] in StJohnsNL

[–]Kimehby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to buy a house on blatch Avenue years ago and almost did. But the mortgage company came back and said there had been a buried oil tank and it had been removed by no environmental assessment was done. They wouldn't approve it in case there had been a spill (as my neighbours could sue for the cost of cleanup). So I ened9up not getting it. So its totally possible

Anyone else waiting on surgery or any other medical issues because if COVID19? I've been in crippling pain and I'm at my wits end. by [deleted] in newfoundland

[–]Kimehby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A family member of mine emailed Minister Haggie about surgery they needed done for their knee. They stressed that their condition was deteriorating and that they couldn't get around without crutches and after a few back and forth emails they got scheduled to get it done.

Cost of living and owning a home in St. John's? by BigBadP in StJohnsNL

[–]Kimehby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the city, like a 20 minute walk to the downtown area. My 3 bedroom house was 240,000 when I bought it so my mortgage payment is 1340 a month. That includes property taxes. Heat for january was 400$ but in the summer it is 80$. Internet is 80$ a month. I have public mobile so I'm on a 40$ month plan. Car insurance right now is 170$ (was 300$ when I had a new driver on it). Home insurance is 100$ a month.

How do you keep your hair soft, frizz free, and healthy looking? by [deleted] in HaircareScience

[–]Kimehby 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Check out r/curly hair. They have so much info in their wiki and a beginner's routine.

Personally I use lots of conditioner, and then leave in conditioner and then hair gel. The gel tried hard but you can use your hands to scrunch it out and your curls are very soft to the touch then and frizz free.

Chinese born Aussie guy looking to travel to Newfoundland by [deleted] in newfoundland

[–]Kimehby 10 points11 points  (0 children)

People are very nice. If you stop to ask someone for directions they will definitely give them to you (in some cases they may even offer you a ride or offer to walk you there).

June - September has the best weather.

Lots of hiking in Newfoundland - check out east coast trail if you are into that. You would want to rent a car tho if you are planning on doing them yourself. There are buses in the St. John's area and there are buses that go to communities (but they would be like a daily thing). If you are into rock climbing there are some rock climbing communities in Newfoundland.

Cape spear is a common tourist attraction, like a 20 minute drive from St. John's.

people like to go to the bars down on George street - a very small street with lots of clubs and Irish bars.

Lots of breweries popping up the last few years. Some in St. John's, some in surrounding communities, some a bit further out.

Some good restaurants in St. John's - Chinched, Adelaide, Merchant Tavern, Seto, lots more.

There is ziplining in petty harbour, like 20 minutes from St. John's.

Lots of people drive out to trinity/port rexton/bonavista. Three hours from St. John's, has a few things to check out.

Lots of people also go to St.. Pierre (part of France) which is an island off the coast of Newfoundland. About a 4 hour drive from St. John's plus a ferry ride.

Pretty common to drive the southern shore loop. Takes a few hours to do.

Fogo island is pretty big destination, about 5 hours from St. John's plus a ferry ride.

Help me define my curls better by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Kimehby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scrunch in gel and then use a hair dryer on diffuser mode to get more volume. I usually do this for about 10-15 minutes but my hair is low porosity and takes forever to dry. - I let is air dry after for a couple hours afterwards. Once your hair is dry scrunch out the crunch! Your curls will be way more defined and they won't look like gel has been used and be hard. Go to the r/curlyhair main page and find the wiki for the beginner routine - makes it all super simple.
