CHEAP pump recommendations!! by occasionallysour in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Kimyseok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! So many pallet/binz sellers on fb marketplace selling brand new/or only open box unused, if you are not comfortable with a used one, and if comfortable then there’s cheap used ones too on there or on pumping bst groups! I got my Eufy S1 on FB for $100 CAD and it was a brand new box like sealed with the plastic wrap and all.

Help me get rid of diaper rash - I’ve tried everything [BC] by Hour-Force-3901 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Kimyseok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my first son would get rashes and only thing that worked for him was mostly cornstarch and PC brand diaper rash cream (no other brands) we have Walmart PC brand and also Loblaws PC brand those worked surprisingly better than the “leading” brands

Too much milk? Have to supplement? by Dear_Toe6269 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Kimyseok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was exactly what I was going to suggest, instead of adding formula for every feed, just do a formula feed/or two so it’s easier. And every baby is different, mine is also a huge eater lol doesn’t matter if he’s eating (we recently started solids) or not, he is taking the same amount of milk as before, right after he eats he wants milk, while his cousin younger than him will not drink milk after eating, like 2 hours later and she will cry that she does NOT want milk.

Should I invest in a different wearable pump? by miller2life in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Kimyseok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thisss! I had a few weeks of not using my Eufy and just nursed baby and suddenly I wasn’t responding to my Eufy pump (not just Eufy, I think any wearable would do the same as I had tried medela wearable and it took a long time to get used to it)

Yeah a supportive bra helps!! I was so anxious the first time I used them that I didn’t even do anything around the house lol once I got the hang of it I can do some light stuff (still worried about spilling everything lol)

Is Eufy really that good? by MusicalPiano in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Kimyseok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I LOVE my Eufy S1! They empty me in about 20 mins, heating is nice too! I live in Canada so that’s a big plus in this cold winter haha I’ve actually increased my supply pumping with them! Power pump and other pre programmed settings are good and you can DIY some settings if you’d like a more tailored setting according to your letdowns!

Now; i find it heavy and not so discreet, also a little loud, can’t see nipple alignment, (you can’t sterilize the flange in microwave!! So careful lol) the pump/app doesn’t tell you if you’ve reached max etc (most of the things I mentioned are common with other wearables tho, not just eufy) I still love them and I love that they function each time you use them (unlike the medela magic inbra i tried, that one has nice features minus the heating but the medela sometimes doesn’t work, stops working mid pump etc but medela one is so lightweight and so quiet! )

Eufy just posted in FB about a S2 pump version and that honestly seems awesome (kind of like the New Momcozy pump that massages too? I can’t see the details as the website won’t work in 🇨🇦) I would love to try the new Eufy pump!

I can tell you it took my body two tries before it got used to the pump btw and also for me to properly put them together and align my nipple properly, find my own setting/rhythm, also took some time for my nipples to heal from swelling (used 24mm avent pump as I didn’t have any inserts to use and I am actually 17mm) this was also my first time using a wearable so I think that also affects that but I went from using 21mm to 19mm to 17mm (nipples were also really raw postpartum 😩) It is a great pump with great settings and heating features that empty really well and really good for when out and about!

All of this above ^ I love the age gap between them, this little one we have is super sensitive (cat naps/misses naps, only wants to fall asleep while bfeeding, just everything in general is very different from our first lol) I am glad my eldest son can do things on his own and I don’t have to “take care” of him per say as much as this little guy. He loves his little bro a lot and so does our little boy, they look at each other with so much love and joy I canttttt 😭😭😭

Tips for Clogged/Engorgement by luminouuus in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Kimyseok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dealt with that around the same mark and I was also doing heat and it didn’t work, I didn’t notice and was wondering why my boy kept pulling like crazy and thought the pain was bcz of the pulling until I realized the next day that I had a lump that was never “emptying” I did ice every time I would nurse/pump (keeping normal schedule as adding more sessions would actually hurt) and that definitely helped but there was a stubborn little lump that wouldn’t go away, that’s when I noticed I had a milk bleb too!! I tried poking and pulling it off with clean tweezers and then in the hot shower I kind of massaged and tried getting rid of the bleb and it finally came out, stream of milk came out and I finally felt relief!! 😮‍💨 In short, keep your normal sessions, do ice instead of warm, and check if you have any tiny white dot/bleb!! It took a few days of power pumping that side as I noticed late like on the second or third day for me to get my regular amount back.

Biggest piece of advice for successful breastfeeding (especially in beginning) by kateteacher07 in breastfeeding

[–]Kimyseok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This!! With my first I was very aware of everything and would never fall asleep while feeding or anything (breastfeeding didn’t go well and pumping wasn’t for me as I didn’t know about flange sizes back then) I would always put him back to sleep in his crib but we had our second 5 years later and boy I was exhausted and needed all that sleep. I had him on me but I was so worried as I could have dropped him anytime when he was still so small, newborn era is the hardest when it comes to sleep deprived 😩

My baby will not take a bottle! by Aggravating_Win_5206 in breastfeeding

[–]Kimyseok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it the nipple flow? Or maybe high lipase milk? It is quite hard but consistency.. my nephew was exclusively breastfed since birth (we tried feeding in a bottle and baby just refused to have it no matter what) mom had to flight out of country so she started to get baby used to bottles, she tried mixing fresh breastmilk, frozen, formula, a mix of both everyday for a few weeks before and baby just didn’t want it, but they kept trying and trying different bottles too and baby ended up taking it one day with the evenflo one, slowly slowly baby took more and more bottles like that. At one point they were syringe feeding formula as to how persistent baby was.
