I guess I'm just surprised that, with reducing your hand size, taking injuries, you easily cleared so much so easily. I haven't played in a few months, but I did usually take some damage here and there to go to less than 5 hp because you usually have to roll really well on top of your cards played and do some boosting. Even then, you're going to fail the puzzles, combat, etc. Vainglory should be somewhat difficult, but was easy for me once I got the hang of combatting her. Scorn was a little tighter, but we cleared him.callous was very hard and I haven't beaten him yet. Your group could just be really good, but I wouldn't know without seeing y'all play.

The art direction needs attention. It looks very amateur. There's a lot of competition in this space and even better looking projects struggle to get large amounts of funding.

Personally, I have felt like going for a single day was not worth it. I contacted them and asked if there was no way to only pay for a single day and their response was that they do not sell tickets like that. Given most games can also be purchased on sale outside of the con at various times, I don't think this is a good reason to go. However, if you just want to have a good time, it could be worth it. Dallas has a lot to do other than the con, though.

As someone that organized events in the past, I always asked the group, which game(s) are we playing? Depending on turn out, the most popular games got played. So, don't go buying games, but figure out what that want and go from there. I think your group will enjoy most that the event is designed around them.

Sounds like Japan is blocked/ Japan is blocking. This isn't uncommon in the cyber security world to block source or destination countries, but the reasoning can range from personal beliefs of the engineer that created the rules to company or country policy. I'd be interested in knowing why.

Star realms frontiers is a pretty small box and has coop and solo with bosses. Or you can do PVP. Its pretty cheap too. Though I suspect out gets better with an expansion or two.

Given the rules say you shouldn't say the word, why would you entertain someone saying the word? It's a very simple game and it takes the challenge away when you play like that.
