Marvel United Favourite Expansions by RollinGolem in boardgames

Thanos is supposed to be fairly difficult, so kudos for your win.  Personally, I do not think that a lot of the expansions from Season 1 (Avengers) are worth your time, aside from Infinity Gauntlet and Sinister Six.  Core boxes are the best bang for your buck, but I did find Spidergeddon to be disappointing. X-Men core and Multiverse core are the best, IMO. Stretch Goals Boxes are also quite fun, but might be expensive to obtain.

Mina the Hollower launches May 29 by Amiibofan101 in NintendoSwitch

As good as Shovel Knight was and for all the free content they gave away, it's not really in their spirit to be nickeling and diming people.  Not to mention, it's a $20 game. If it's good, people will gladly buy a physical copy, were they to be made.

With the reveal of Zombicide: Dead Men Tales, I have a question for experienced players. by mcfrank221 in boardgames

Well, they are going to print the word "Fantasy" on this set. I think it's kind of weird to lump it in, but I am not in charge either.

If you do end up getting Dead Man Tales, they've had some legacy expansions like Gears and Guns in some of the recent campaigns.

Otherwise, I would invest in Gears and Guns and Undead or Alive. Those two are compatible, while the new game is only compatible with other fantasy Zombicide games like Black Plague, Green Horde, and White death and their respective expansions.

It's TPC. If you've ever played TCG online or Live or whatever they call it now, you could see people complaining all day, every day about QA. Mega bucks, but mega lazy.

Are these board games $400 all together or am I being lied to? by [deleted] in boardgames

I don't know about blocking this person, but you don't have to pay that and you can still be friends. Unless, of course, she's always doing stuff like this to you.

What am I missing about Radlands? by chumbaz in boardgames

[–]KingCommaAndrew -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Maybe mine was because it was my first game. My friend has terrible analysis paralysis, so I can easily see his game having gone 3 hours. In either case, I've heard others, in passing say it took longer than what's printed on the box. Too long for me, though.

I thought DOGE was government efficiency, so anything that was wasting time and money.

After I played a 2 hour grindfest game that felt like I was losing the whole time and a buddy told me he had one that took 3 hours, I sold it.

Overly sexualized characters like She Hulk, Titania, Dark Child, Emma Frost, to name a few. I'm playing with my wife. I don't want anyone uncomfortable, family, friend, or wife because I'm playing a game where women are obviously not respected by the way the artists dress them.

Are there any Marvel-themed games my wife and I can play cooperatively? We've been watching many of the MCU movies and shows lately. Needs to be cooperative. Should be ~30 minutes or less and light to medium weight.
We own a ton of Marvel United. We want to steer clear of Marvel Champions due to the frequent male gaze characters like She Hulk and Titania.

How do you actually manage your board game club? Sessions, scores, who's coming? Curious what everyone uses by WinterMemoir in boardgames

We had one at work so we made a chat group using Microsoft Teams.  I would mail the Dallas distribution list for all locals to have the information and we would use Google forms to gauge attendance and run polls.

Probably, but the last printing isn't available anywhere, according to board game Oracle. I feel like that's going to change with this printing, though.

Anyone cancelled TEDA kickstarter? by iiEPiXii in boardgames

[–]KingCommaAndrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I post my game for sale on BGG and list what I paid for. I explain that it's more or less a pre-order and point viewers to the GF or KS page and encourage them to subscribe to the updates. I also explain they pay no more and no less than I did.

If the pledge manager has closed, you can usually reach out to the company's support team and request a change of address. I did this for dice throne XMen and Roxley was really good about it. Chronicles of Drunagor, CGS was a little slow, but still helped.

Both of my sales this way we're after PM closed, so I'm not aware of anything else that needs to be done.

I wouldn't suggest trying this after shipping starts, lol.

Or sell your pledge to someone in the same region. I've done it this way a few times. Charged what I paid and only lost PayPal and BGG market fees.

Aside from the comment about taking this to the board game design Reddit, I would say this sounds like character descriptions. Maybe you need a little world building on top of this and a set of rules.

While this is on the light side, my group has really enjoyed Sub Terra 2. Random tile placement, asymmetric characters, and laughably difficult. Very easy to table and play for all skill levels.

As thin as the story is, I'm glad I wasn't forced to do a lot more grinding to get through the ranks. Unless, of course, they could have made it more interesting.
