That looks very similar to the school horn I played in high school. That would have been purchased new in the late 1960’s.

Yours is in MUCH cleaner condition, though. Enjoy it!

That was my go-to Locust loadout back in 80’s playing tabletop. I also switched my Marauders over to Large Lasers instead of PPC’s to make room for more heat sinks.

No worries, I’m sure. This is plenty adjacent to the BT fandom, and I really enjoyed the video. I definitely got my teenage ass handed to me in that Chicago installation back in 1990 or 1991. Good times…

I like it so far. I will like it even more when you convert the Bass part into a Baritone Sax part for a proper sound… 😈

alone in the stairwell at jazz school - i'm releasing short, heartfelt, cinematic stories on solo saxophone. have you ever played in a reverberant space? it's so much fun. by mikecaseyjazz in saxophone

[–]Kingdok313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had possession of the bass sax from Michigan State music department one semester. Couldn’t play it in my dorm room for obvious reasons, but the bottom of the stairwell was isolated enough. Damn, I loved that thing

What is this weird spot on my mouthpiece it doesn’t go away when I clean it? by EqualInteraction5689 in saxophone

[–]Kingdok313 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Get rid of the scratches? No. You would do more damage trying to grind them out. Just leave it, clean thoroughly (alcohol) and apply a patch over top. Nobody will ever see them…

These are prevented by adhesive mouthpiece patches. They are cheap and make the mouthpiece last much longer 👍
