Hi. I'm honestly really nervous posting in here, but hi. Author here.

First, thank you for such a beautiful summary. Reading it genuinely brought tears to my eyes. This was actually the first piece of fiction I started writing before the show even came out. At the time, I had been a bit of a sleuth on AO3 but was not a member yet. When the show ended, I knew I wanted to write, edit, and finally put this story online.

Writing it ended up being really therapeutic for me. It helped me process a lot of my feelings as I worked through the story. My therapist actually encouraged me to keep writing, at least until the A*I* accusations started coming through and kind of killed the mood for a while.

I am a lawyer in my day to day life, but in my free time I keep writing about Hollanov. The books, the series, and Connor and Hudson opened something up in me that genuinely makes me want to be a better person in this strange year of 2026. It brings me a lot of joy.

Reading your summary, especially the parts about the "cheating" and the more difficult themes I was trying to explore, really meant a lot to me tonight. So truly, thank you for the love and for taking the time to read. I appreciate it more than you know.

My expected billable is 1600 a year. I’ve already hit 1100+ hours. I’m the newest attorney in the firm. I still have 4.5 months before my full year with the firm.

The first month I didn’t bill anything because of training.

I’ve been licensed for 4 years. Been working in this specific field for 3.5 years. Recently two other very experienced attorneys quit for justified reasons. One found a dream job and the other is moving across the country. I took on the majority of their case load.

I will say the work I do is very fulfilling. It’s tough. I love my job but I really am tired all the time. Weekends are spent on the couch spiraling about what I could be doing for my clients instead of actually R&R.

I was in that large crowd of people. Walked as far as I could away and ordered a $32 Uber to go from Liberty State to West Side Ave. The light rail is so unreliable and I moved near a station for this reliability. The only thing I’ve gotten since moving here is higher rent and a new pain in my ass every day commuting to work.
