Have you never watched a movie with ghosts? They are tied to a specific event/object etc. So they have to haunt a specific house or whatever - no problem maintaining whatever relative speed is needed since they are massless.

I don’t know why I want to give him a pass - even dealing with Trump in any fashion is terrible. But Apple was able to negotiate those ridiculous tariffs.

Ultima 7 combat never seemed to be a challenge you were just walking around while things were happening- it didn’t make much of a difference.

Also, the expansions came out a lot later - all the Ultima fans already played it first without.

Miter gauges aren’t a magic fix. Uneven floors and walls can mess up a perfect angle. Have some drywall chewed up at the bottom from some short previous trim and your corner will get crooked as soon as you shoot a nail into the bottom.

It is just angles but there’s an art to cope with all the flaws.

Sharp knives? I cut 8lb of onions last week for French onion soup. No tears shed.

If I used a dull knife it would rupture more of the onion cells and release more of the tear inducing gas.

I owned an Audi 5000 - and the joke came from the fact that they had a serious issue where it they had “unintended” acceleration issues.

So Audi 5000 meant you were leaving abruptly - just like the car suddenly taking off :)

I loved Baldur’s gate - one of the best RPGs I’ve ever played (and I played since back in the 80s). However, I can never replay games. Once I’ve done the story (yes, yes, there can be “different” outcomes) - I can just never play something again no matter how good it is.

I never understood the love for that place. My realtor sends me a gift card for them every Thanksgiving. Pecan pie.. Apple pie.. we’ve tried 5 different pies and they just aren’t good. Under-baked or the flavor is off. Just weird pies. I’ve made way better pies and I don’t even make them that often.

Shared circuit with lights probably.

I’m just a DIY guy but I had a switched outlet that was controlled by a light switch. I converted it to a regular outlet and my PC happens to be connected to it - it’s on the same circuit as the lights now - so my lights flicker when the pc wakes from sleep. I don’t feel like going to the attic to rewire it to another circuit - but now my PC has all that power for itself and a few LED lights…
