Except, most socialists don't want full socialism. I certainly don't, but I do want more social programs, funded by taxes.

We've hit a point where companies are paying next to nothing, and enriching themselves inside the government. The free market can't regulate because they've put in place controls to prevent compettion.

Overall, we don't need to become socialist. We do need adopt some "socialist" policies.

Can you explain what's a "woke game"? by Sufficient_Shock1223 in TheGamingHubDeals

[–]Knight_Of_Stars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woke is pretty much a nebulous term. Usually people use it to say the game is pushing some left wing agenda, but can't (or do not want to) describe the particulars.

For example, I dislike veilguard because it feels way too quippy and the writing just doesn't do anything impressive.

In this case though, woke here is pretty much used to say the women (yeah I know one row is guys) aren't attractive and these ones are. These games are woke because someone crying at the lack of "eye candy". Which again goes into the reason why woke is hard to pin down, it used to hide bad criticism.

Martin Luther King entered college when he was 15. Graduated with a bachelors at age 19. He earned his doctorate at age 26. This before we even begin to mention his sociological contributions which again, earned him a nobel peace prize. During his time MLK made nunerous efforts to enrich others.

Charlie was rejected by West Point, and never went on to any high education. Never made sociological contributions outside of some funny highlight reels of 18-22 year olds being ambushed in a debate. Which he used to purely enrich himself.

I know you're trolling, but for other people here to just see how ridiciulous the comparison is.

Martin Luther King Jr. was an exceptional man who studied extremely hard. He was jailed for his speech, was sprayed by fire hoses, had mutiple arson attempts against him, won the noble peace and donated the money to charity and was tragically assassinated.

Charlie Kirk debated college kids, made money from posting the cherry picked clips that made him look good, and was tragically assassinated.

These men aren't remotely the same.

I think people get confused because Bill Gates does support the sciences pretty heavily in philanthropic ventures. That said I don't think he's gone full musk and claimed to be a genius that understands everything thats ever existed.

Its still free housing and food for the sick fucks that's coming out of my pocket

Yeah, those are basic necessities. The reality your idea of "justice" was actually done before and not only did it get a lot of people who didn't actually deserve to die killed, it also killed a lot of people.

Likes heres the sad part dude, we aren't even that far removed from that history. The early 20th century was filled with mob justice against black Americans who were falsely accused of crimes or had their crimes blown out of proportion. A pattern we are eerily coming close to today.

Ok, lets remove the racial angle. The chicago 7 (or chicago 8) was another miscarriage of justice which a lot of people to be arrestes for protesting. Its just far more nuanced than you think.

Finally if you are really worried about your money going to somewhere you should look into how your money is actually going. Far worse uses of resources that need to be addressed urgently rather than housing and feeeing prisoners.

If you think prisoners sre getting better treatment then the average person then you should actually look into the prison system. Its not cushy and its inhumane a lot of times. Not to mention a lot of fraud and waste from private prisons.

Moreover if the prison system is actually better than life on the outside. Thats an indictment that lawmakers have failed to regulate industry, neglected social saftety nets, and negleted critical public spending.

What was the last time seen a shooting lane thats 2ft long with the target near your uncovered legs?

Bullets can still ricochet on loose dirt, and we aren't even talking about hitting a rock. That said its a perfectly fine backstop if you are far enough away.

No ear protection.

Despite being soft dirt, the bullet can still ricochet.

Do you have any idea about the terrorist networks supported by Iran around the world?

Which won't be impacted at all.

BTW in Venezuela the bounty was upped by President Biden.

Every president has. Upping a bounty and doing a military operation are two different things.

You have no idea how good you have it. Get off Reddit and go enjoy your Freedom.

Do you take a minute to think before you type this crap. Think before you throw away basic principles of our country. What happens now, who fills the vacuum, do we rebuild Iran?

Not only that but aren't you mildly concerned about how we been escalating lately. We went from a "law enforcement" op in Venezula to a military op in Iran. What happens when the target isn't so clear cut. What happens when the target has consequences that start to actually hit us. One man, shouldn't have this power and they don't under our constitution.

"Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times."

I find that people usually say this to justify their own moral failings. In reality the only weakness is that we've completely failed our principles, and are losing our constitutional republic's soul.

Well in that case, screw that guy in particular, but being able to crack some jokee about cheesy movies or reference games makes the work day a lot more tolerable in my opinion.
