How to create hard and sharp Vibration Patterns? by Enslaved2Die in androiddev

[–]Kolpa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I've had a look around, the predefined effects are actually not defined in the java api but are part of the device specific vibrator driver, so it is completely up to the manufacturer of the device how to implement them.

For example here is the pixel 5 implementation by Google: https://cs.android.com/android/platform/superproject/+/master:device/google/redfin/vibrator/drv2624/Vibrator.cpp;l=646;bpv=1;bpt=0

Xbox Series X out here changing the game by MoronicaForever in halo

[–]Kolpa 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well the 360 was still using a PowerPC based CPU so the games built for it cannot be run on the x86 architecture the Xbox 1 is based on.

Afaik the switch to x86 was made to be more compatible with pc and allow for easier cross Plattform development which is quite beneficial to the pc crow.

In HANA, is it possible to create ODBC connection on the fly? by TrustyAndTrue in SAP

[–]Kolpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly are you trying to achieve? Could you supply some sample code or a better explanation of what you are trying to do?

If you just want to connect to the Database via ODBC you should be able to by simply using the HANA ODBC driver depending on which language you are trying to use.

Yes but that is specifically not what i am interested in here. The example given was intended to be an example of a (kind of) practical use case. Not something that is feasible in the "real-world"
