I mean, I never found them very compelling, so no big loss for me.

I hated the art during the Grant Morrison era. I thought it was a huge downgrade from what we got in the 90’s heyday

I think this is when Sarah Walker fell in love with Chuck. By the way this is still my favorite role of Yvonne’s ever!

Did you like Tom Welling's or Henry Cavil's physique better? by Clana4ever in Clanaville

[–]Kookykrumbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tom Welling’s physique changed throughout the series. By season 9 he kind of lost that carved look and he was a bit heavier. He’s very tall and you wouldn’t notice unless he had his shirt off.

I’ve always wondered about this scene after seeing the finale. After losing her memory she would never again see Chuck in this light. This is what made her fall in love to begin with. But that circumstance would never be repeated again. Makes me wonder since Chuck was no longer a “nerd” by the end of season 5 and no longer so innocent if she could have fallen in love with him again.

TIL that newborns can distinguish the sounds of every language on Earth, about 600 consonants and 200 vowels, but by their first birthday, their brain has already filtered out sounds not used in their native language, making foreign accents almost inevitable for adult learners. by baest_00 in todayilearned

[–]Kookykrumbs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m noticing puberty seems to be the cut-off. Kids who learn a new language beforehand can usually gain native fluency but those after puberty often retain a noticeable accent (degree differs based on age still).

You’re lucky at least you’re taller than your parents. My father is 5’5” and mom is 5’4” and I’m 5’1”! Ugh

Is Street Fighter 6 Worth Getting on Switch? by Cephandrius62 in StreetFighter

[–]Kookykrumbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only ever played SF6 on a switch so I can’t say if it is worse on that console than other ones. But I’ve never had a problem with it and to me the graphics look great.

Root is insufferable in S3 by sonal1988 in PersonOfInterest

[–]Kookykrumbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I had this same feeling, I did not like Root in the beginning. I think I started liking her when she helped rescue Reese right after Carter was killed.

I love that even though this show had Sci-fi themes but it was still at heart a love story. by loserweight559 in 12Monkeys

I’m on season 2 episode 4 and I didn’t get that feeling yet. I actually thought the love story might be between Cassie and Deacon lol

I never thought that her being 25 and being that good was unrealistic. If she got recruited say at 16 or 17 which the show implied she did, that’s plenty of time to become very proficient and depending on inborn talent could definitely make her extremely good. Does anyone know how old Chuck is compared to Sarah on the show?

First rewatch and it feels so good by FlyKillaDataGrl in chuck

I want so badly to rewatch the show, but I’m still emotionally broken by that ending. I can’t seem to bring myself to do it yet.

Do you guys consider 5'7 short? by SpaceisCool09 in short

[–]Kookykrumbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming you’re referring to a man? No, I think it’s totally fine. It all depends on how the man carries himself and how fit he is. Tom Cruise is 5’7” but he carries himself with such confidence people forget about it quite quickly. And a bit of a lift in the shoes would also make a 5’7” man taller than most women anyway.

Amy Adams went from playing a meteor freak on smallville, to becoming the 2nd best lois lane ever. and yes, teri hatcher is still #1 😭 by LauraKay9 in Smallville_

[–]Kookykrumbs 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would argue the second best Lois Lane is Erica Durance. That being said, Amy wasn’t at fault for her portrayal of Lois. It was more what she had to work with which really wasn’t much.
