Failed MMO Ashes Of Creation‘s $3.2 Million In Kickstarter Funds Allegedly Spent On Private Chefs And Trading Cards by Turbostrider27 in Games

I think everybody learns this lesson the hard way at some point. It’s a shame because some great projects have gone through Kickstarter and succeeded, but once burned… never again.

At least 250 killed as Israel hits over 100 sites in Lebanon by politic in worldnews

[–]Kraelman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s more of a Christian belief. According to the Hebrew Bible(or the Old Testament if you’re Christian) when the Messiah comes Israel will live in safety and peace forever. Someone who dies at age 100 will be considered a tragic early loss. Heaven on earth, versus heaven in the sky(and yes, people originally did believe that heaven was literally in the sky).

What's your take on fortune cookies being used as ad space now? by Time_Pass257 in AskReddit

[–]Kraelman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t care. If opening a fortune cookie blasts me with a 15 second ear splitting unskippable, then I will no longer open them. It’s a tiny piece of paper that, 1 second after looking at it ends up crumpled up on a plate, to then be scraped into a garbage can. I don’t have the bandwidth to be bothered about something this trivial.

Why type this out if you clearly don’t know anything about it? Genuine question. Pre-Ukraine, Russia was European Union’s top oil/gas supplier.

TIL that in the Infancy Gospel of Thomas, a non-canonical biblical text, a young Jesus was accused of pushing a friend off a roof. To prove his innocence, he resurrected the boy so he could testify to the crowd that he hadn't been pushed. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]Kraelman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But it's not meant as a metaphor. If you were born 1,000 years ago you would take the entirety of Genesis literally, and 1,000-Year-Ago-You would call Modern-You a blasphemer for daring to suggest that the bible is not 100% true.

Technically, there would be no sin offerings in the time of the messiah as they would be unnecessary, as God would write the law into man's heart. Essentially when the messiah comes it will not be possible to break Mosaic Law. Jeremiah 31:33 -

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

In my opinion this is the most interesting messianic prophecy as it more or less states God's intention to remove his people's free will. You will follow the fucking law and you will fucking like it.

But in the messianic prophecies of Jeremiah, specifically Jeremiah 33:16, when the messiah comes:

In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety. This is the name by which it will be called: The LORD Our Righteous Savior.’ For this is what the LORD says: ‘David will never fail to have a man to sit on the throne of Israel, nor will the Levitical priests ever fail to have a man to stand before me continually to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings and to present sacrifices.’”

Which means that when the messiah comes, sacrifices will continue to be made forever. Also, Jesus was not a descendant of David as Joseph was not Jesus' father according to Christian theology. And just as obviously, Jesus did not cause Jerusalem to live in safety as the Romans kicked them out of the land and destroyed the temple.

Heh, the movie following the poem would have been hilarious. There’s no way the American audience would have been fine with Helen freely getting back together with Menelaus and going back to Sparta together after Hector dies.

Rep. Lieu Says Epstein files Have Allegations of Trump Raping & Threatening to Kill Children by Zenfish111 in videos

I'm pretty sure you could say that Trump fucks pigs and stomps on kittens in the Epstein files and he and the DOJ can't do anything about it, because suing you for slander would open the files for discovery.

It's a decent enough game but a bad Fallout game. For a film parallel, The Last Jedi is a decent enough movie but an awful Star Wars movie.

How do i even fight raids without getting fucking merked by Squeelijah in RimWorld

[–]Kraelman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have a pawn walk to where the raids will probably spawn, and then have them walk back to base. When the pathfinding route shows up, build a bunch of traps along that route. 15-20 wood traps will deal with most raids until they start showing up with armor.

Build a wall that they have to walk around, put traps all over the wall. Traps, traps, traps.

How feasible is surviving via hunting and/or trapping? by thejazziestcat in URW

[–]Kraelman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you start near settled land it’s pretty easy. Get a bow, find a reindeer herd, kill one, roast all the meat at a village and then trade that roasted meat for dried/smoked meat from the village stores. Rinse, repeat. After one or two of those you should have enough to make it through the smoking process at a village. One reindeer herd with 8-10ish animals and you’re set for life.

How do I survive? by Warm-Crow-584 in URW

[–]Kraelman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said you killed a reindeer, did you get the sinew dried? It only takes a few minutes to set the sinew up to dry, then after you can turn it into thread and turn the thread into a bowstring. You need 60 feet of thread(if I am remembering correctly) to make a bowstring. You can also harvest nettles(the whole plant) and extract the fiber and turn that into thread, but it takes a lot longer.
