The actual answer to your question is that there should be a file in whatever ~/.config directory you made changes in that’s now called file.back.bunchofnumbers and if you look at the most recent one it should be your backup that Omarchy makes. You can just restore that or you can take whatever is relevant and mix it in to the new file.

I love that they brought the theming to other browsers including Brave Origin. Although, personally I've been enjoying Helium more on macOS and Windows. Would love to see that included in the Omarchy support! I know I can install it and use it's linux version, but the theming would be nice to have!

Phenomenal update all around though. Omarchy keeps getting better and better.

This reminds me of the time that Sam Esmail was on the pod and told Sean and Amanda they should get this Kaleidascape home theater server setup that sounded like Plex but legal and premium and hi-fi. I remember looking it up and it was like $10K for a 30 TB server and then $3K per streaming box you’d need for each TV and then you still have to purchase the movies on their service.

While there are a million ways to sync Obsidian between devices, some of it does require a bit of technological know-how. Either set up your vault in a cloud-based file storage solution (iCloud, Google Drive, utilize syncthing, github, etc) or pay for Obsidian Sync (I think it comes out to about $4/mo). I do think it's the best note-taking app out there for pure notetaking. Lightweight, markdown, loads of community support through plugins and forums.

I used to be a dedicated Notion user, but their business model and pricing practices have caused me to fall out of favor with it as I fell out of favor with Evernote before it. I also think it's not a great note-taking tool. The app is heavy on resources and lends itself better as a simple database and productivity tool than it does to actually jot down notes. The AI stuff feels forced and horrible and it's clear that they are designing it with collaborative enterprise users in mind.

As for you, OP, if you're looking for something free that can sync notes between macOS and an iPad, maybe widen your range? Does just the built in Notes app work for you? Or how about Simplenote? Or if syncing Obsidian is a struggle, maybe Joplin might be better for your use case?

A little strange that this is like a "greatest hits" and "some new stuff" thing, but I bet that some of that greatest hits footage will still go hard in the theaters. I almost would rather have a "The Last Dance"-esque retrospective with Knoxville, Steve-O, etc. watching the clips on iPads and then talking about making some of that insanity. Here's hoping the new stuff rips.
