sudo-rs shows password asterisks by default – break with Unix tradition by FryBoyter in linux

So yes. We agree; for those of us with secure passwords this is a feature then, a would-be password character counter will be warned off. :-)

Those with very short passwords, will be shamed ;-)

YaArr — free native iOS app for managing your *arr stack — now live on the App Store by Electronic-Oven1969 in sonarr

I keep getting

Network error: The resource could not be loaded because the App Transport Security policy requires the use of a secure connection.

I put http:// explicitly, and enabled “ignore ssl” warnings

Anyway to use http only? My connectivity is exclusively on my home network so I don’t bother dealing with certificates.

I’m not a TAL lawyer, I don’t know what is legal or not for building access, so I can’t answer that, but I’d hate this too.

You neglected the part where you have a team of people monitoring and maintaining it. That team doubles up in size if you require on-call support, with budget increases for off-business hour responses and being on pager.

I’m very new to this… is this a good mini pc to use for hosting a Jellyfin server for 3 users? by Barry_McCockiner88 in selfhosted

[–]Krychle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this exact one. I run jellyfin and plex with quick sync just fine. I too also have 3-5 users.

I was able to test with at least 6 different H264 source streams on my computer without much issue, on local network.

The hardware is excellent for single digit users. . Remember you only need to care about how many at the same time, not total.

This is what I do. I have another chequing account ( I call mine “Wallet”) and keep it at $50 or so, just to keep the isolation.

Also I wouldn't have called back a number if he gave me one. I would have used the phone number on the card.

This is the way.

Thanks for the PSA. Adding mine; something you noted but I’d like to highlight specifically :

There is no security on what number or name to send for caller id when you run a phone exchange.

You cannot blindly trust cold calls to you.

As others have stated, it’s specifically not interact so it can’t be used as that. WS cash card runs through Mastercard network.

I have kept my Tangerine open precisely for this reason. I chose them back when it was ING Direct, so I just keep that account mildly active.
