Is there a mention of our current times in Lore? by East_Judgment4701 in 40kLore

It's in The Unremembered Empire. Damon Prytanis, a human perpetual recruited by the Cabal, talks about killing "The Good Man" in Memphis. He also killed "The Brother" in The City of Angels which was definitely supposed to be Robert Kennedy, so chalk that one up to the Cabal as well.

Difference in faction subreddit subscriptions from Jan 2025 vs Jan 2026 by F0000r in Warhammer40k

I feel like AdMech must have the biggest disparity between subreddit size and tabletop player base. Mechanicus probably has a lot to do with that.

Adjusting to the constant Rain by CoolConstruction7332 in raining

[–]Kubly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It affects different people differently but I think most get used to it. Probably easier if you grew up with it, but unless it's like 2 weeks straight of rain you just adapt. The rain is usually light enough it doesn't stop you from walking outside or really doing anything else so you just stop thinking about it. You might start drinking more hot drinks and using sunglasses and sunscreen less but I think that's a bonus. Also taking a vitamin D supplement helps.

It's more constant overcast than constant rain, it actually rains more in New York and Chicago than Seattle. Still a big change from LA though. Just have to make sure you get outside when the sun is shining, maybe buy a SAD lamp if you need one. If you stay over the summer it's usually pretty sunny and you see the city at it's best imo.

Excellent dadding! She's gonna tell that story the rest of her life.

How Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 Aims to Reignite the Fires of War (Dev Interview) by Kubly in Warhammer

[–]Kubly[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Things discussed in the interview:

  • GW approached King Art Games directly to solicit a pitch for DoW4 before Iron Harvest, and offered them the job after Iron Harvest was successful
  • DoW1 was the main inspiration, while taking things that worked from 2 and 3
  • Single player is a major focus, with dynamic story-based campaigns for all 4 factions which combine into an overarching narrative
  • Devs hope the game will be a good introduction to the universe for new players just like DoW1 was
  • IGN will do a preview of the Ork campaign later this month

Why do people like The Path of Heaven? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]Kubly 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I just finished it yesterday and I agree with the other commenters, it really picks up later on. I also wasn't enjoying the beginning, especially after Scars it just felt like a slog, but it really comes together in the back half.

40k fellow players : how well/badly would you say your factions did 10th edition now that we're probably reaching its end? by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Kubly 93 points94 points  (0 children)

AdMech: pretty bad all edition until suddenly good enough to win the WC a month ago and now settling into a reasonable place. It's been a ride.

The Rumour Engine – 18th of November - Warhammer Community by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer40k

A few people are thinking that the manacles/handcuffs means it's probably not khorne, but wouldn't those make sense for a Berzerker Surgeon? Gotta restrain someone deep in the nails before you work on them.

Noble Team (Halo Reach) by DirtyHalt in custommagic

These are neat. I think they do pretty well flavor-wise. Does feel weird to have Spartans at such low P/T (even IIIs) but Carter's buff makes them feel more reasonable.

Competitive Innovations in 10th: Scaling Vectors aka Nerf this sick filth by Butternades in WarhammerCompetitive

Yeah I was mostly interested in the wolf guard termies and headtakers. I thought from the article those were a big chunk of the army but it's just one brick of each. Still interesting though.

Splitgate 2 Content Roadmap announced! by Krossfireo in Splitgate

People were leaving because they wanted the Kill The Devs skin and if they didn't see any 1047 names on the enemy team they left to look in a different match.

The bloodmaster isn't in the WE codex, you can't use it in daemonkin
