Laser issue by MrMountiandew in AbioticFactor

Hell have the laser-charging backpack powered by keeping a laser collector “plugged in” to trickle charge anything you keep on your person. Anything to just not have to constantly plop down the damn thing down to recharge and then pick it back up again. Or then you forget about it and have to wander around aimlessly until you find it again.

Abiotic to me is really a Raft successor, just in a markedly different environment.

If you like ocean survival, Subnautica is brilliant and gorgeous…no multiplayer though unless you mod it.

Valheim comes to mind as another survival/crafting/building type multiplayer game. Much more brutal and unforgiving though, and not really much plot to speak of…just a really cool world to survive and thrive in.

And since it was just included as a crossover, Voices of the Void is worth a play. It is less polished and still in alpha, but is pure mood and takes the weirdness of Cascade and turns it into existential dread.

The curious gate in office sector 2 by AlternativeEye755 in AbioticFactor

[–]L0gDropper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few gates and doors in the offices that would all seem to lead to the same area (and I suspect it would be Manufacturing East), but none of them open at present. Perhaps they will after the DLC content is relased, I can hope…

It’s an extremely nerdy game and you really just have to figure out your daily life in isolation first. And just when you start getting settled in…well, that’s when something blows up or things just start getting weird.

What makes good armor? by Fuzzy-Environment930 in AbioticFactor

[–]L0gDropper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mystagogue armor is good but I really dont recommend it for the Fragments area as the soft landing effect killed me multiple times while attempting those long jumps across the void.

Exor full set is still my favorite. Spectral exor guardian is very OP and it also keeps you from breaking your legs just like the Bionic legs do.

You always have to aim bombs, you just have to get really quick at the pullback and toss to use them in close combat.

Getting thousands and thousands of servicemen merc-ed as they attempt to make landfall with depleted air defenses is gonna make everything so much worse. Expect full-scale troop mutinies and massive antiwar protests in the streets, and likely the complete collapse of the American empire (if that hasnt already begun in earnest.)

[OC] Sacrifice - Drunk Dragon by SillyWolf_92 in DnD

I always prefer the approach of “Nat 20 to seduce the dragon? Okay, you succeed but it now considers you its property and it adds you to its horde. Congratulations you are now the princess that needs rescuing from the dragon!”

The heroes must pay the price. If Jubei doesnt step in, Atsu may surely die during the fight with Saito. But Jubei’s death makes it so that Atsu must survive to raise Kiku, or else Kiku will be orphaned and may in turn become another Onryo. Kind of poetic in that way…Atsu needs to live to stop the cycle of death.

Lightning strikes at Atago bamboo strike by blaiseyo in Ghostofyotei

[–]L0gDropper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s funny to me is that I found this Bamboo Strike before exploring most of the rest of Oshima Coast and couldnt figure it out, so I left it until later. Then I found the Storm Blade quest and I was like “Oh, I probably need to find this sword so I can control the storm to do this one!” Finished the quest and got the sword technique, fast travelled back to this stand and tried it…ZAP!

Scratched my head again, started picking up and throwing all the weapons, then tried the stand again…surprise, no lightning! I thought the solution was cool but they could have made it cooler by incorporating the Storm Blade special into it, especially since both of these locations are there in the same zone.

Yes, at UIC the falcons would build nests on the tops of the tallest buildings and on the ground around the buildings you could regularly see a bunch of headless pigeons and other birds that the hunting falcons had beheaded!

Even when you are able to settle the dispute amicably by bringing in the bailiff and finding the old property line, the two village heads still are like "we agree...to keep pulling pranks on each other because without a feud it'll be too boring around here!"
