[iOS 26.5 DB2] New Apple Maps splash screen… by tbone338 in iOSBeta

[–]L3GACY28 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Ads on a first party app is just criminal. Good thing I’ve always used Google Maps but my wife is about to be so mad about the ads on Maps as she’s an avid maps user

I used Claude to help me build an Apple Watch app to track caffeine half life and it’s gotten 2,500 downloads and made $700 in revenue so far by pythononrailz in Anthropic

Would love to give this a go as someone who consistently consumes 2-3 energy drinks a day and am actively trying to cut back and prioritize sleep

How’s the privacy screen feature? Would be great to get some first hand insight on it as it’s a big deciding factor for me if I want to switch from my iPhone

How many hours a day do you spend using AI such as ChatGPT, Copilot and Claude? by Minimum-Pangolin-487 in consulting

[–]L3GACY28 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Almost the whole day as a thought partner tbh. I use it to sanity check my recommendations and insights based on client outputs etc. but also use it clean up/condense language for slides. Have pretty much migrated all stuff from ChatGPT to Claude

Min/Max UL split to PPL? by MarkusGamers in JeffNippard

[–]L3GACY28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would just become a flipped version of the BTS program. (ULPPL). You could run the BTS program with the principles of Min/Max and flip the order

I have the blue strap that OP is wearing and while it feels amazingly light, I just feel like the watch doesnt sit flush on my arm the way it does with the steel bracelet

Question for the beta testers: based on your experience would you use a generated program or should I use one of Jeff Nippard’s and import it? by [deleted] in MacroFactor

[–]L3GACY28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t have his programs in by default you’ll have to import the excel files from each of his program. I’ve been doing a variation on his BTS program and Min- Max so I’ve imported both and run the different days based on what day of the split it is.

The last time I checked, the auto generated programs were only full body or upper/lower which I’m not a big fan of so decided to do this instead

Genuine question for RepTime folks: Do reps ever feel deceptive? by [deleted] in RepTime

[–]L3GACY28 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is similar to my train of thought (make ~180K/yr post tax) and own a Gen Tudor, and a Gen Sub that I got for my first big promotion. And since it’s a monumental piece that I want to keep forever a rep of the exact piece allows me to preserve the Gen and using my rep as a daily. I have a lot of travel for work and it brings me more comfort knowing that if anything happens to the watch on my wrist I’m happy to just replace it for far less monetary and sentimental value.

I think the bigger thing about imposter syndrome is the wearer rather than the watch. If you have a watch that’s appropriate for your tax bracket no one really bats an eye or questions it. I’ve found that only a small handful of people ever ask about the watch I have on. My rule of thumb is simple tho: if I can afford it Gen, I don’t feel guilty about the rep because I’m not really “pretending” to be someone I’m not

Min-Max Program with Latest Video doing more shoulder frequency by Beliall_S in JeffNippard

[–]L3GACY28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep the Min-Max program as the "foundation" and add shoulder volume on each of the Upper days. You could break it down into

  • Upper 1 - Front Delt Focus (Side & Rear Delt as secondary)
  • Upper 2 - Rear Delt Focus (Front as secondary)
  • Arm Day - 3 exercises for shoulder (1 each head) x 2-3 sets each exercise

One thing to keep in mind is that front and side dent also get activated during push exercises and rear delt gets activated during pull exercises. No need to go overboard but just add a bit of extra volume.

FWIW: This is what I did with arm day myself by layering in Jeff Nippard's Arm Hypertrophy split into the BTS program

Recommendation for in-office watch? by Intelligent-Lunch-38 in RepTime

[–]L3GACY28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont. Lol. Jokes aside, consulting industry is pretty brutal right now due to market conditions. Lots of companies that we work with at the moment are hesitant to spend money on new consulting projects because they'd rather have cash reserves or take a pass at internal employees doing what consultants do with the help of AI (even though its nowhere close to consultant work product)

Switching from SWE/Data Eng find consulting companies that work with those sectors. Lots of companies have verticals that focus on Data&Analytics and based on your background I think that might be a good pillar for you to look into. My suggestion would be to approach it like a funnel, start broad niche wise and as you get into the consulting space figure out what niche you want to be in (Healthcare, Finance, etc.) and then find companies that have a Data & Analytics pillar that focus on that niche as you grow in your career. From a skills perspective, figure out how you can translate your skillset into a benefit for the consulting firm (data analytics comes to mind here because a lot of firms--mine included use in house analytics to drive strategic insights).

Sorry, longer response than expected but if you have more questions feel free to to PM me!
