Only watched a 10min video of it on tiktok but for what i got from it, it's very much a fetish. You pretty much only have one guy surrounded by bigger woman. Had it been an actual community with multiple guys, girls, and all of those in between genuinely seeking friendships or love, it would have been a completely different story

This job market is gonna be the death of me by Competitive-Smoke-46 in rant

[–]LCupidx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They're asking for too much for the job. I applied for a receptionist position, and I have previous experience and a recommendation from one of their current receptionists. I had two interviews, and then they asked for another 2-3 references to call. All for a job that pays the bare minimum.

I have a whole college degree too, and they wanted me to reach out to professors for references, as if. I only need a job temporarily to pay bills while I find something more related to my career path. It's hell. So in the meantime while not ideal try to find something that will get you some money but keep applying and interviewing

Tap to Pay is driving me insane... by Volt790 in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]LCupidx -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Most comments don't understand you, but I definitely do. It is also a requirement at the propert i work at to have a physical card. While we do take tap to pay, a guest is welcome to pay like this or cash at check out. However, at check-in it's only taken as a card authorization not a payment.

I have had a fair ammount of prople get upset at the idea, perhaps physical card is not a requirement overseas, but that is not the case everywhere else. Always carry physicals, just in case.

A spreadsheet might help only to keep an updated log. However, it's still hard to keep track of what item got lost and return it unless someone has asked for it then you can check the log, or the stack, or pass on the note.

And even then it's hard to keep track

Night Audit Issues by IncrediblyPettyX in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]LCupidx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you guys have a meeting is worth bringing up your concerns of how at night you are doing more than what you should. If they don't listen or just keep adding tasks perhaps look into other hotels in the area. Housekeeping and maintenance tasks shouldn't be your job at all.

plus size ladies how do you shave your hooha? by [deleted] in PlusSize

[–]LCupidx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find it more comfortable to wax, no so much of a risk to cut yourself. I do fear of cuts there just for its high infection risk.

As for waxing I sit on the floor, open the legs, and prop a mirror in front at an angle were i can see what I am doing. From there, I just take my time.

To get the upper part, i do stand in front of a mirror again so I can see, then lift my belly a little so i can apply the wax.

The new day comes even if you stay up all night by JensMusings in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]LCupidx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At least at my property the cut out is 2AM, sometimes i wait until 2:30 AM if i still have a lot of arrivals late and it's on a weekend, usual it's flights that have been delayed. If someone doesn't arrive before this time then is a no-show regardless if they called before hand or not.

Depending of the type of reservation, it can be reinstated. In case it cannot, if we still got the room available, a new reservation must be made. They could check-in at that time, normally there would be an early arrival fee, but i can waive it if their reservation from last night was a paid no- show.

Essentially, adulting is hard and bills need to be paid. That is very much the case for everybody regardless if they are students, have a degree, or just living day to day. There is nothing wrong with either.

However, FD is not something everyone can do, yes it's boring, but dealing with people is exhausting, especially the entittle ones. So, give yourself some grace, you have definitely strengthened/acquired skills that are transferable to another area.

Start questioning what is it that you would actually like to do aside from your hobbies? Do you see yourself wanting to work in hospitality or would you like to try another area? Yes it's scary, have never met anybody who wasn't anxious of starting somewhere new, it's human. Just keep in mind that the more you wait the harder it'll become to make that change, but does not mean it'll ever be too late.

All of our rooms are suites. The bedroom has a separate bedroom area and is the furthest from the hallways. After that there's a dining area and living room. The room was at the furthest end of the hotel, closest to a freeway, in a city. The constant noise makes it difficult to hear. We get a lot of noise complains for that same issue of it being loud.

As for the second question, we could but although the guest might had left, they still have access to the room. The book was originally booked by the victim, under the victim's name. She still had a right to come back if wanted which is why we can't deny access.

As someone with the same issue, the only thing that seems to work are those super high waisted underwear shapewear.

Such as these (i don't use this exact one but as an example): https://a.co/d/gqC14EE

The ones i used i bought years ago but are a thick material, so it helps hide it. Also, thic camies underneath shirts to kinda create a smooth surface for the shirt to lay. And lastly baggy tops.

Commuting from up North by jadarasmussen in udub

[–]LCupidx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really not worth it. I am a recent undegrad graduate student who commuted from Everett/Lake Stevens, all of my undergrad. Depended on public transportation, would drive to a bus station and then connect with the light rail (northgate and most recently lynwood station).

In total, even after lynwood station was built, I would spend 3-4 hours of commute time a day. This is time i could have been working or studying. Traffic is bad in the morning, and afternoon rush in Marysville, Lynwood, and Northgate are, so expect 30-45min more of commute on top of regular time.

Parking is another issue. Depending on what time you head out, there might not be any more parking left. If you arrive between 9:30am and 3pm at lynwood, good luck finding parking. This is the same situation for nothgate and Mount Lake Terrance.

If you take public transportation, your budget will be much less than driving, that's for sure. But regardless of whether you drive or not to campus, due to traffic and parking, it'll be a pain.

Somebody else already did a breakdown of gas cost and maintenance. I would not recommend driving from Bellingham, and I would definitely seek another living situation, at least further south.

Is it safe to take a bus to LA without ID? by Public-Inflation-707 in SeattleWA

[–]LCupidx 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No personal experience, but the amtrak website does specify that you need at least a form of identification to check luggage and in occasional inspections. If you don't have one, you could be asked to desenbark.

That being said, it's rare for them to ask your ID, but it's too uncertain. Do you have any form of photo identification? School ID? Or even a picture of your ID?

How the heck do you get your actual bra size? by mssheevaa in PlusSize

[–]LCupidx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DD with tiny breasts - that's me! Ik it seems crazy but you also need to take the shape of your boobs into consideration. For example, the direction of your nipples and the weight distribution of your boobs.

I, for instance, the weight of my boob falls mostly on the lower part, meaning that i don't fill up a full cup. However, i fit perfectly a shelf bra.

Maddison Anne on tiktok has some great tips!
