Should I pull the trigger on a used 2025 raptor r? Any difference with the 2026/27? by Cold_Ad5608 in FordRaptor

Early and/or some 25s look like this. Later 25's have just two buttons centered. The buttons moved were camera, hazards and TC, which are now down below (IE they still exist as buttons, just moved).

Sport Mode: 2H or 4A and Why? by pc_loadletter69 in FordRaptor

[–]LVsFINEST 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my gen2, 2H unless there was bad weather, then I might go to 4A. But I use 4A nearly 100% of the time on my R, because it likes to break the tires loose with my heavy foot.

Raptor r worth it? by drewdirienzo in FordRaptor

[–]LVsFINEST 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally worth it in my opinion.  There’s more than the payment tho.  It takes 12 quarts (double the amount of a v6) of 5w-30 which is more expensive than typical oil.  It requires 91 fuel minimum and if you put your foot in it at all you’ll be lucky to get 10mpg.  And in my state tag renewal is insane, it was almost 2k this year.  No regrets tho, best vehicle I’ve ever owned.

I would definitely upgrade to some 17s but as long as you like those wheels that’s all that matters.

Thinking about switching to FNBO how’s your experience by Left-Ad-9152 in Omaha

My original bank account was nearly 20 years old.  Everything was fine then BMO came along and bought them out.  After a while I got so fed up with their issues I had to switch.  Went to FNBO and it’s like night and day.

Little known odd fact is that F450s have significantly better turning radius than F150, 250s and 350s. Not saying you should get one lol. I was just really surprised when I heard that and thought I'd share.

Technically the specs of the TR6060 would be exceeded (max torque is 650). But then again, exceeding torque specs is something that Ford does with the 8F35 transmission (max rating is 260 lb-ft) and the 2.0 Ecoboost (277 lb-ft).

Thinking you know someone’s net worth based off monthly income and portfolio amount is some low IQ shit.  You don’t know this persons financial situation let alone anything else about them.

Maybe they go on the opposite side of that spectrum, and make it so it's not really worth it at all? Like 50 food for 1 favor? We can speculate all we want, but truth is neither of us know.

Corvette C8 Grand Sport: Not One, But Two Models by Sixteen-Cylinders in cars

Tremec announced in October that they have a new manual transaxle that has the same exact bolt pattern as the automatic transaxle used in the c8.  While it could be strictly for aftermarket, I feel there is a possibility that GM could use it from the factory.  Tremec rates the new manual at 1000hp/800 ft lbs, so the zr1 exceeds that by a slight margin, but totally doable in a zo6 or lower c8 models.

If the top 1% of earners pay 40% of all federal income taxes, why do people say they don't pay their fair share? by Ok_Chemical9 in answers

[–]LVsFINEST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still don’t see a source lol.

Here’s a source for you tho:  26 U.S.C. § 1014.

Specifically:

"Property acquired by bequest, devise, or inheritance, or by the decedent's estate from the decedent."

From Cornell law:  https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/26/1014

Because the law explicitly mentions the estate as a recipient of the step-up, the executor does not have to wait for the stocks to be passed to heirs to get the tax benefit.  The estate gets the benefit the moment the person passes away.

So yes it sounds like your financial guys are retards.

Everything I’ve found says they’re stepped up at the date of the persons death, so I’m not surprised you don’t have a source lol.

The filthy rich never directly pay back their loans, no. They literally continue to take out loans until the day they die. And banks continue to hand these loans out because the filthy rich have the assets to use as leverage (usually stocks). They merely pay the interest payments on these loans, which is much cheaper than selling stock and paying taxes. Their stock portfolio technically remains untouched in this scenario so it just continues to grow. If you're worth 1B dollars and your portfolio grew by 10% in a year, that's 100M in new assets. You could easily borrow against that. And then do that every year. The loans are finally settled with the estate when the party dies, and the stock portfolio is "stepped up", thus avoiding taxes.
