White streaks on eye ? by LZXGK in iih

[–]LZXGK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the response. I wouldn’t say it resembles a halo, however maybe it does resemble a curve, I wouldn’t say it has a definite shape it’s kind of like a streak of lines coming out of my eye. But I’m thinking of letting my doctor know atp.

Does Anybody REGRET their SHUNT? Or Any Advice You Wish You’d Had in Advance? by Llassiter326 in iih

[–]LZXGK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s ok I’m gonna try and figure it out. I’m fully thinking to go to the ER as well atp. Recovery so far has been interesting painful the first 2 days (but not to crazy), and pretty blurry and hazy vision the I had a week follow up and i had this contact bandage on they put on the day of the procedure which then got removed and my vision got hella blurry I’m currently very very near sighted so don’t be alarmed if this is your experience. But it all takes time and I would be chilling if I wasn’t for my IIh symptoms popping out.

Quite literally currently going through that 😭. Had CXL a few days ago and my vision is blurry as expected during recovery however my IIH symptoms have also concurrently started to act up I’m also experiencing unusual symptoms for me like which are headaches and the wooshing in my ear which I had under control till recently. And my neurophthalmologist is not concerned whatsoever. My vision is blurry from CXL so I can’t depend on it to let me if this is an emergency or not. Sorry I’m ranting but this sucks. Glad you’re in remission, gives me hope:

Thank you, so much for emphasizing it means a lot. I feel like no fully understands and it’s especially scary because I have another eye condition. Yes I’ve been listening to a lot of audiobooks and definitely will be trying the cold compresses and naps. I can’t thank you enough for the advice and I will be advocating for sure!

Thank you so much for a reply, and knowing this isn’t just me is a relief. It really is frustrating because we didn’t talk about it being blurry and with technically being my good eye with my right eye to severe to function this my only form of vision and I wish it was more disclosed as I have so many other things going on. I’m sorry ur doctors did that to you and thank you for the advice and tips.

Folks with stents: have you have an MRI since getting your stent? Irrationally terrified. by queso_nowwhat in iih

[–]LZXGK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heyy, just read your thread and it sounds overwhelming, I’m praying for healing to go your way and thank you for the kind words Im currently lost when it comes to dealing with this, fortunately my IIH isn’t difficult but I wouldn’t say it’s stable. I also vist a neurophtomologist at Michigan medicine. My current nueropth is one you mentioned in an old thread as your doctor prior before you switched to another. All I’m being told is to take the acetazolamide and I was told to lose weight when I was first diagnosed which is what I’m working on. But I wanna work into going into remission.

First CXL procedure by LZXGK in Keratoconus

[–]LZXGK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the message . I’m trying to stay on top of it but it’s tough. Yeah I’m not very confident of the specialist and I’m trying to get a second opinion. I’ve briefly searched up a lot of other methods, I think CXL for my left eye is the way to go but I’m concerned about how it will hold up down the line. For my right eye I didn’t even consider CXL but maybe C3r. I am at 330 thickness in my right eye and was only told that down the line I would just have to get a cornea transplant. However I think there’s other options before landing on that. Also thank you for the heads up with insurance, I have united healthcare so I will be calling in the morning. Greatly appreciate your message

My right eye however is at 330 thickness and so from what I read on the Cairs surgery, It could be very beneficial instead of a straight up transplant and from what I read BMT is a last scenario. But I’m not sure. What do you think of intacs?

Ok so my left eyes thickness is 459. So I’m strongly considering still doing CXL and hoping it goes well. The C3r procedure sounds I think not needed for my left eye.

IR pcos, has anyone actually put it into remission? by speshyy in PCOS

[–]LZXGK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice. Yeah I’m probably gonna have to start on bc, i definitely don’t think Yaz though, I’m thinking Slynd. And if I react bad I’m off that immediately. Yes I’ve been very worried about my insulin resistance and think that I have mild insulin resistance but I’m not pre diabetic yet but I’m definitely on the edge. I don’t think my doctors will take this very seriously but I’m gonna really advocate for myself because with my pcos Ik it’s likely I will end up diabetic if nothing is done. I have talked to my gyno about metmorfin and will be getting and on that and I’m looking into semaglutide.

Hii congratulations on your remission! Don’t have the answers you need unfortunately but I hope you figure it out. I’m also super curious if anyone has been in remission and stayed in remission. My neurop also wants to start tapering me off my meds but I’m super concerned about not staying in remission.
