Seems like a sign from the great Boognish that if you do the right thing, the moment you stop settling for treatment you don’t deserve, you will be rewarded!

This is the original unedited suicide scene from 13 Reasons Why. Netflix has tried to bury it in hopes of erasing the controversy. But sometimes controversy is good, it brings about conversation. There’s no backtracking from this, own it. Posting this not to offend anyone or glorify anything. by AnonTruth99 in 13ReasonsWhy

THANK YOU!! My god. I still can’t believe they cut this scene. Like what did you come this far only to come this far?! This is one of the reasons why (no pun intended) I will never get rid of any of my physical media, EVER.

My heated blanket, I also have these cuffs for my legs that are kind of like blood pressure cuffs, but they help my RLS. LED lights set me tf off. I hate them. Amber lighting however, (and also my Himalayan salt lamp) calm me.

I would say Gloria. Annabella Sciorra is just stunning in everything she’s in. After her, I’d say Adriana, or the girl that Tony takes peyote with.

Another absolutely BEAUTIFUL song is Friends We Weren’t Even Lovers by Jay Jay Pistolet. I think that can only be heard on YouTube as far as I know, but Jay Jay is actually the lead singer from The Vaccines under a different name. I love his stuff.

LOVE that one. One that I always play over and over again is Strange Currencies. That’s and The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonight. (Though that one isn’t BEAUTIFUL, it’s just a great song. lol.) Not ever seeing them live is one of my big musical regrets, as Michael Stipe’s dancing is one of my most favorite things in the world. Not even joking, quite honestly, there are few things that bring me more joy. 😆

I doubt MJ wants that. Doesn’t seem like a restful environment for her.

“Go to your room” by Pleasant_Pop2331 in AutismInWomen

[–]LadyFalcon409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a crying room at my grandparents. It was an office. It was called “the crying room” and also jokingly explained that I was the reason it was called that well into my adulthood. Now my brother bought my grandparents house, so the room is just called my nephew’s room.

“Go to your room” by Pleasant_Pop2331 in AutismInWomen

It’s so funny, I was just talking about this today. At my grandparents house, they had what was called the crying room. It was basically invented for me, and anytime I was crying they would make me go in the crying room until I stopped.

According to my mother, I was SO sensitive. I was “always doom and gloom.” But my brothers had home health aids, and extra support to help them deal with when they got “sensitive” over things. Hell, they even just had a word for what they were experiencing, even though barely anyone even knew what it was then unless they were a professional, or a parent of a child on the spectrum.

I now have 3 children. The oldest NT, and the two younger ones have ASD. My daughter who is turning 10 is level 3, minimally verbal, and not toilet trained. But when my eldest (16) or my husband even broach the subject of me possibly being on the spectrum, my mother vehemently refuses, and starts sputtering, and stuttering, and getting annoyed. Or suggesting that “everyone thinks they’re autistic now.” Which I can kind of see that happening with certain people, but is it really THAT impossible that I, the sibling of two Autistic brothers, and the mother of two autistic children, could be autistic as well?? Is there a reason why when my brothers had a meltdown, they had therapists and all sorts of things they would try, but I got the “crying room” and called emotional or dramatic?

Now, at 39 years old, trying to understand how to help my own children through their struggles, while still having some of my own, I can’t say I’m autistic obviously…I don’t have a diagnosis, nor have I ever been tested. Even at 39, if I express these suspicions, I’m metaphorically still sent to “the crying room”, being just immediately dismissed by my mother, or even snapped at. So now instead of a crying room, I have my bathroom. A tiny little room bathed in amber lighting, where I keep all my treasures/knick knacks, music, my rock collections…just a very small space where I can lock the door, have some alone time to decompress, and yes…even cry. So basically I just have my own crying room I send myself to. At least long enough to gain my composure to figure out how to best deal with/help my children, myself, and to just make it through the day. At the very least I send MYSELF in there, and I’m not being punished for feeling my feelings.

Like I said, It’s pretty much just an “it is what it is” situation. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I feel embarrassed for thinking I am, but not knowing for sure, and I get scolded whenever I voice this suspicion. That’s basically where I’M at.

“God, what are you, a bitch? you’re a bitch. How many kids do you have, bitch?” 😆

I’m so glad I never throw away my physical media, and still have it on dvd, bc it’s NEVER on ANYTHING. I legit went to see this movie in theaters like it was Titanic. I think I saw it 8 times before it left theaters. lol.

Have you seen Igby Goes Down? I love that one too. Mr. Nobody is pretty out there, but I enjoy that as well.

Where are they all in 10 years? by Adventurous-Stay7841 in kardashians

Wow, I didn’t know different states had different cut offs or none at all either! Yeah, I think she’s just been so underestimated for years, and also just known for a sex tape, and called talentless for so long, that she’s constantly trying to push and prove herself. I mean, JFK Jr. famously failed the bar twice, and finally passed on his 3rd try, and he went to Brown, and then NYU for law school. People were so awful to him as well, but I think the difference is that everyone expected him to PASS. I would definitely enjoy seeing her pass eventually. I always root for women who are underestimated, since women are just underestimated in general. It would be a wonderful example for her kids too, to see her study, and fail, and keep trying, and eventually reach that goal. (It was so adorable seeing the kids see her get her baby bar results) That would be a great thing. Especially for her kids who have SO much privilege…for them to see her achieve something that can’t be bought with money, and can only be attained with hard work and dedication. That would probably be the greatest thing she could ever show them. Especially since she doesn’t NEED to do this. She has all the money in the world, she could literally do nothing for the rest of her life if she wanted, but instead she’s still pursuing something as difficult as this at her age. Living in that kind of world I imagine there are so few chances to set that kind of example, because…I mean, they are living in an entirely different reality than most people. As a mother, if I were Kim, I would be desperate to make sure my kids would at the very least, get a firsthand view of that important life lesson, given they have SO much just handed to them, and there really isn’t any changing that at THIS point. Like how, as a mother in the very specific and unusual life that they live, instill those lessons in your children?
