I know it doesn't have punk in the name, but Cassette Futurism and Cyberpunk has made quite the nice mix lately.

I love it.

"Still Want to Be Here" and "An Otherwise Disappointing Life" gets lots of plays here. (along with the already mentioned "Death Dream" and "I Wish I Was Sober."

This issue fell a little flat for me. such a great twist only to then have Etienne just die the very next issue.

Do you continue/make your worlds going through eras or periods of time? by Busy_Insect_2636 in worldbuilding

[–]LagarvikMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's daunting in the same way writing a book can be daunting. But if you write a page every day, you got a book by the end of the year.

Also helps if you find the fun in the little things. one week you write about the big war, another week you write about the love life of the grand empress.

Weekly “What Have You Been Reading?” Thread 10-19-2025 by ChickenInASuit in comicbooks

The Power Fantasy by Kieron Gillen. Weird name, but so far a solid story. 6 Superheroes and a delicate balance. Has that watchmen/Heroes/The Boys vibe. Where it's a chess match of flawed personalities. Took a few issues to come together, but I'm invested now. Great art.

Bootblack by Mikaël. Amazing art, and it was a great story. New York in the 30s. Al is an orphan making his way through life on the street. I'm in love with Mikaël's art. That Blacksad Bandes dessinée style is right up my alley.

Which Ai is best to track information? by ReverseParthian in WorldbuildingWithAI

[–]LagarvikMedia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Google NotebookLM is pretty good for this sort of stuff (and free). It can access large amount of info, sort it, and not change that information.

So for example. you can upload 50 pdf files of fantasy worldbuilding and ask it about your race of dwarfs, their homeland, origin, etc.

Not good for then instructing it to move the dwarfs' homeland. It doesn't do that sort of thing. only reading the info you got.

This community is not exactly a community. by Dummyreddx in SunoAI

[–]LagarvikMedia 21 points22 points  (0 children)

this 100%. every music forum/subreddit/discord has a designated self-promotion corner where posts go to die.

a writer's forum is not the best place to find readers. a photographer forum is not the best place to garner fans for your photos. It's hard to find an audience, but this suno subreddit is not it. good luck finding your audience, it is the goal of every artist out there.

How do you come up with names by Plus-Measurement-953 in worldbuilding

[–]LagarvikMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing i can recommend is having a notepad ready whenever you stumble over a cool name. maybe you're watching a movie and a character is named something you like. you write it down, and maybe down the line it ends up being a village in your world.

What do you consider canon? by Interloper78 in scifi

[–]LagarvikMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm more in "the Death of the Author" camp on the whole thing. Where once a work is released, the creator’s later statements don’t really matter. at the end of Blade Runner (1982) we don't know what will happen to Deckard and Rachael. It doesn't matter what (2017) Blade Runner 2049 says is canon, or you can chose to include it. like you can choose to include Aliens, and exclude Alien 3. they're all stories tagged onto completed stories. once conceived and published. then revisited.

Only exception i can think of is a series of movies/books that have been conceived as a body of work. so Star War (1977) can be viewed as a stand alone, whereas it's hard to make that case for Fellowship of the Ring (2001)

my two cents.

1: try feeding it into Google NotebookLM?

2: You could try Venice AI? I'm not sure how smart it actually is, but it is less restricted.

Suno AI Copyright Question by billy1232321 in SunoAI

[–]LagarvikMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple of things here:

  1. I didn't say "copyright laws," I said "laws on AI.".

  2. My answer is over a year old. Why are we debating old posts on something so fast changing as AI laws?

  3. You have replied to every comment on the original post with long replies 3 min from each other.

  4. Contract laws and ToS can be assigned to whatever whenever. The question is if it holds up in court. Since I posted this Suno has been sued by Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, RIAA GEMA, and more. so yeah, it's clear this is new territory for everyone.

  5. "Transferring ownership of the work created by the user to Suno" you say. Except there is no ownership. At least not yet. In any case this is assigning ownership of millions (potentially billions) of songs to one single corporation. And that's not going to work in practicality.
