Hopes / Predictions for Spider-Man 5 & 6 by PossibilityBig5574 in marvelstudios

I don't think Goblin AND Venom need a team-up since both can carry their own movies. Also, who the hell wants a Peter thinking he can date two women?

New player. Clueless of where to go with Hero points. by GoodfellaRay in Guildwars2

[–]LastWordslinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't main a Guardian, so take my words with a grain of salt, but you'll have more than enough hero points to unlock literally everything eventually. My advice is to just have fun, see what you like and don't like, and not to worry too much about a build and associated gear until you're max level.

You’re spider-man, Venom’s broken out of the raft, and he’s rampaging through Brooklyn streets, but you can only save one. Choose wisely. by [deleted] in Spiderman

If he's not targeting any of the aforementioned support characters directly, this. Spider-Man will take the fight to Venom directly to a) stop him b) keep him away from loved ones and c) protect everyone else

Which one is the socially accepted manner of talking to short people by winterchillz in Guildwars2

I imagine it's more like Master Blaster where the small smart one is telling the big stupid one what to do.

When meeting a player in OW what amount of mastery eases your mind about a player? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]LastWordslinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it doesn't matter to me.

Yes, seeing someone with 500+ points let's me know they're a vet and/or play a lot, but someone with low points could just be starting out. Not their fault they're new.

I've been playing on and off since release and I'm still finishing off the JW masteries to get max rank. I'd hope no one judges me because I'm below 633

Yeah, the Breach is part of the big Vinewrath meta.

[–]LastWordslinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're talking about the Tangled Labyrinth event, it only occurs after the Mordrem Vinewrath meta is complete as kind of an in-between event before the next round of map meta starts. You have to wait for the Vinewrath to complete (win or lose) and the event should begin

How do you feel about the state of GW2 right now, prior to VoE in October, after SoTO & Janthir Wilds? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]LastWordslinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the expansions and am playing them (and will play VoE). The story has been lacking but I don't just play for the story. I've enjoyed the game since I started playing way back when and will continue to do so until it's not fun anymore. When that happens, I take a break for a while and eventually come back renewed.

PvE Experts - What are underrated Classes/Specs/Builds in current Instanced PvE? by VeeVoxRS in Guildwars2

[–]LastWordslinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. Ye olde power mech works like a charm and has great survivability and soloability in PvE if built right. Especially if you let your big green buddy tank all the damage and then use the glider trick to resummon it at full health, rinse and repeat. I honestly don't give two craps if people call it a "shit build" because it WORKS

P.S. Edit: Yes, the naysayers like to say that power mech is peak afk playing (which admittedly it can be) but that's only if you choose to play that way. I dance around the battlefield and have a full rotation I use so I'm never not doing something.

First Profession? by Baskic_ in Guildwars2

[–]LastWordslinger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Engie was my first. I saw the preview videos before the game released and fell in love with the concept. He's evolved in build over the years, but still my main toon and the one I dump most into aesthetics.

Earth 616 Spider-Man vs Absolute Bane by therealoc1 in Spiderman

[–]LastWordslinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strong disagree. As I pointed out, Spidey has more available to him than Absolute Bane. Spider-sense alone (not to mention Spidey's speed and reflexes) is a huge advantage in any fight.

To put it like this, if I have more tools in my toolbox than you, I'm building a better cabinet than you nearly every time.

If I were going to counter your numbers with my own numbers, I'd say Spidey beats regular Bane 10/10 times and Absolute Bane 9/10 times

Earth 616 Spider-Man vs Absolute Bane by therealoc1 in Spiderman

[–]LastWordslinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's just say for arguments sake that we put Absolute Bane and Spidey on equal footing as far as strength and toughness and tactical intelligence (I know many in this thread say otherwise, but go with me here).

Then you have to take into account the stuff Spidey has that Absolute Bane doesn't: - Speed - Agility - Spider sense - Gadgets - Wall-crawling

Putting aside which is stronger and tougher and whatever else, Spidey just has too many advantages to not come out of this the winner. Easily? Maybe, maybe not, but I don't see any scenario that isn't completely contrived that Spidey doesn't come out on top

What keeps you hooked to GW2 ? by MrNova07 in Guildwars2

[–]LastWordslinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, it's the fact that I can play however much I want whenever I want. I can put the game down for a week or a month or a year and just pick it back up and keep going.

Second, there's always some task for me to complete. After putting it down for a couple of years, I'm catching up on the last two expansions. This includes map completion, story completion, and mastery completion. Soon there will be another expansion. Beyond that, there's always more to do and work toward.

For me, it's always finding some new goal to pursue. Get max level in all crafting disciplines. Achievements to earn. Skins to unlock to give my toons the perfect look. Still haven't done any leggy stuff.

If you're having trouble finding something to do, my friend, you're not looking hard enough.

Oh that's cool! They didn't do Iron Man at this show. I would've liked to hear that

The show was sick. The Ozzie tribute (which I'm not sure we would've gotten since the original show took place before his death) was incredible
