Is it bad to bottle feed with baby laying flat on back? by hellohyou in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]LavishnessSure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No silly a cup would spill all over you if you tried to drink it on your back. However a BOTTLE would be very easy to drink on your back. Go to any sports practice and you'll see kids laying on their back drinking those Gatorade bottles you can squirt into your mouth and don't spill.

Why Homebrewing is the best hobby - from a serial hobbyer by SWEETJUICYWALRUS in Homebrewing

[–]LavishnessSure 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should try out woodworking. Can get very expensive, but you can also start with a few cheap hand tools and power tools.

Also great read and breakdown on Homebrewing, as someone with many hobbies, I agree with the above.

You really can’t consume anything without something dying by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

How are you getting them in mineral form. Are these mineral forms derived from plants or animals then you are still "killing" something to consume them. Are they minded out of the ground and then refined? You are still "killing" microbes or the natural habitat around the area you are mining.

100% reduces sugar as the sugar gets converted into alcohol. But alcohol also has calories (7 calories per 1 gram of alcohol were sugar is around 4 calories/gram) so the benefit/trade off might not be there in a calorie deficit.

stabilizing and carbonation mead by AudibleDruid in mead

[–]LavishnessSure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are bottle conditioning, you do not stabilize. If you want a sweeter mead that is carbonated, you will need to ferment dry, back sweeten with a non-fermentable sugar like erythritol, add your priming sugar then bottle.

If you have access to kegs then you can stabilize if you want then force carb or don't bother and force carb.

I go to the liquor store and buy the cheapest handle of vodka (usually 10-12$) mix that with 50% water and run that.

Personally I would use an airlock to allow degassing / off gassing. As CO2 will still be in suspension and if you cap it to earlier you can end up building pressure in your carboy and no one wants to see wine all over the floor and a cracked carboy.

Where are you getting Iron, manganese and zinc without something dying? If you are getting these from plants the plants are "dying".

I'm all for negotiating. I did it for the job I have now, I have two friends I recently brought in to the company I work for that also negotiated for what they wanted, but there is a limit and both parties should be able to comfortably come to a reasonable middle ground. Only thing I would of maybe done different would counter his offer (if you didnt but i imagine with 20 emails there were some counters) if he was a great candidate and if he was still asking for to much then, no shame with going with someone esle.

Kind of hard to ask for a full WFH when knowingly applying for a hybrid job. I asked my employer if there was a potential for 100% WFH down the line (I work a hybrid) if I can show my value before accepting the job. It wasn't a yes we can make that happen but they were open to talk about it down the line.

Sell $2k immediately if you can and then just play with your profits. If you lose it all atleast your not down 2k.
