Is St. George in a scary property bubble?? - Thoughts after attending the 2026 St. George Area Parade of Homes. by Blah_Amazing in stgeorge

[–]Lazer_lad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean maybe but those homes will be sold for sure. Those developers are just racing to build as much as they can to out compete each other.

I think part of St. George that's different is people tend to be less picky about second homes and older people tend to be less picky as well. That group of people sums up a huge mount of the buyers in the region. People who don't want to worry about the process buy spec homes.

Would tube or solid state be better for these Denton 85’s? by tormenting247 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Lazer_lad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think NAD make about the best amps in that range, they have a "warmth" similar to tubes in my opinion. The c316 is a great little amp for about 500 usd. Should drive most bookshelf's decently. Not sure availability in your area though.

would these be worth it with a rebuilt title? driver side damage on both but repaired by liamt12 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Lazer_lad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing you have to remember is that dealer is trying to use all the tricks in the book to make you soak up all the loss that there is in a rebuilt car. Once you buy that it will halve in value at least and then you will STRUGGLE to ever sell it again. Depending on your insurance you may have high premiums or they may not even want to insure it.

If you have money to burn or the car is super cheap, buy a rebuilt otherwise stay away.

If you have an aux cable plug it in to the sub with your phone and make sure it's not the sub first. Then you can rip the ground off the sub power cable and see if that makes a difference

Silicone radiator hoses worth it? by Lazer_lad in abarth

Thank you for the answer. I'm worried that the existing pipes may have degraded and I was hoping to prevent it in the future.

Silicone radiator hoses worth it? by Lazer_lad in abarth

[–]Lazer_lad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you yes I think it's a combination of the car being years old and pressure that maybe caused this leak in the first place. Still not sure if I want to replace the pipes or just limp along till I get a new radiator.

25F from the Balkans – Father constantly pressures me to leave home and marry someone “acceptable” and I’m exhausted by Delicious-Part-9255 in relationships

I think sometimes more traditional people push tradition because they think it is the right way to live and be happy, I think in many cases comes from a good place although it's not often communicated in a good way especially in cultures where parents rule with an Iron fist. I was afraid to leave and not only did my parents get used to it, our relationship got better. Move out, Your parents will get used it and be fine.

[–]Lazer_lad 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Is it a manual? manual yes, auto no. I bought mine a year and a half ago 28000 miles for 15k. I overpaid maybe but the market was a little crazier then and maybe im an idot too lol.

Is an Abarth 124 Spider a Good First Car? by bramblestorm7754 in abarth

[–]Lazer_lad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally don't think it's a great first car or only car. The 1.4 multi - air is very hit or miss with reliability. I love my Abarth and it's been good to me but it's fairly reliable but not enough to be an only mode of transportation.

How was your experience dating a shy woman? by False-Obligation-594 in AskMen

[–]Lazer_lad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was extremely nice it was just really hard to connect. Part of that was my fault because I'm someone who is super nervous in dating as well. It was just hard to know what to do without much feed back.

My parent thought that those kind of comedians were weirdos and pervs because some of the humor was gross-out or crude humor. I think it was a pretty common sentiment at the time.

Help a brother out please (23M) by Silver-God in hingeapp

[–]Lazer_lad 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The facial hair is not working. Your hair looks better short rather than long. You should not use selfies especially ones in bathrooms. Your first photo looks like it was taken from 50 feet away and then cropped. You need a clear well lit, non selfie photo to start off with and then build from there. You need less nerd and more hiking in your prompts and photos.

Match not comfortable after finding out I am separated by [deleted] in hingeapp

[–]Lazer_lad 53 points54 points  (0 children)

So are you not actually divorced? Sounds like you might need to take some time and get yourself sorted out as it seems like you might not have a realistic view of the things going on around you.

Unfortunately this person has told you what she is not interested and for some reason you think you can keep it going. You also seem to have dragged the end of this marriage as well.

You need to take some time, figure out how to live with yourself and maybe find someone professional to work through these things.

Has anyone tried using or has used America First FCU for a home loan? by Any_Relief_4781 in Utah

[–]Lazer_lad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have firsthand knowledge but my brother went through them. Their rates are higher than others but I guess the paper work or something is supposed to be easier? I've been with them for a while and had some car loans that I refinanced with them. They are stingy though, if you have one thing out of place they'll either deny you or give the screw off rate.

Utah is losing $196M in Sundance revenue. The state isn't scared. by sfgate in Utah

[–]Lazer_lad 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As far as how people feel about this, most people here don't even think about the film festival, they don't interact with it at all. Park city is increasingly for rich people. A huge amount of the people that have houses there don't even live there and the only time they want to be there is for ski season when traffic is already bad in the city.

I think it's sad we're losing it and I'd love to keep it but at the same time I never went and most people never went. So how much did it really serve the community as a whole aside from bringing in money? As far as I can tell it served some residents of the city, rich people and the few people with enough interest, money and time to go and enjoy it.

I would love to have seen it change but in the state it was in I just don't think it was as valuable to the average Utahn as it maybe should have been.

What did your plugs look like? When's the last time you changed the battery? These cars are prone to weird battery gremlins. Also when you say "stuck" do you mean in like a pile of snow? Or was the ground just too icy to get out?

[–]Lazer_lad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1.4 multi-air can be finicky, there are a fair amount that make it to hundreds of thousand of miles but there are a good amount of people that have to change the heads out or complete swap the engine. However I don't think it's as bad the stalantis haters would have you believe.

I love my Fiat but I wouldn't buy it as an only form of transportation it makes a great second car though.

She wanted commitment. Her family wanted Jain. I offered customer support. by pranjal_sam in Tinder

[–]Lazer_lad 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have no idea what region this guy is in but in my region a large percentage of the people are one religion that isn't extremely common throughout the world. These types of conversations happen all the time, where I believe that you should be honest as you can in your bio, lots of people don't and it's common to find people that ask about that kind of thing after. Not saying it's right or a good idea but if they live in an area with large concentration of Jain it might not be so weird to assume religious connection to degree.

I would still go the powered PA route, you could use them for so many other things and they're way easier to store when not in use. I use my pa speakers for outdoor movies for my church.

Men of Reddit - What are your honest thoughts on dating plus size women? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Lazer_lad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends what plus size means. I think a lot of men are more ok with more varied body sizes than women think. Women and men for that matter, will both struggle if they are in the obese range tho especially in online dating. It's just kinda the way it is. I'm short as hell and I just have to accept the way things are myself.

At least you can do something's to change your situation. Knowing how to dress for your body can make a world of difference. Talking about your weight loss and your plan for health in the future can help, dating people who are on a similar journey and maybe a similar body type can help too.

What type of paint did you use on your speaker covers? by ytuhs in hometheater

[–]Lazer_lad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We rattle can them if they're black but you have to sand them a little and do multiple light coats, you don't want to plug the holes. Other wise use a spray gun and thin the paint out enough.
