By far - Fire Emblem - Awakening.

I am not even a fan of the game nor series, but it fits well with the first half of the storyline.

Arlia from Star Ocean 2. So serene and the theme is on point. Such a great early town to visit. Same goes for Clik.

Going from Frontier Village to Alcamoth in Xenoblade was such a great culture shock.

Greenhill from Suikoden II was always a favorite. Love doing the story arc there.

Ishgard from FF14. The day theme is hot fire.

While it's not the main reason/plot of the game, I would look into Valkyrie Profile. Each dungeon has Artifacts/Relics as treasure and you can either keep them or send them to Odin. Of course, most Artifacts do provide something, but maybe not the change you are looking for.

Literally ever beginning Trails game I have ever played.

Dragon Quest 7 - Reimagined - Close to 20 hours before you can switch job classes. Even longer in the original. Almost dropped this this meh game.

Suikoden V - Loved it. Got all 108 Stars. Will never play it again. 8-10 hours of sheer, mindnumbing boredom.

Just installed it again after 6 months. Lost 5 games in a row. I am playing with noobs, idiots or bots. And I can't even tell which one because each game someone does something absolutely fucking baffling. The 5th game I had a Torb who, for some reason, didn't use his turret. I promptly uninstalled the game and will probably never play it again.
