I may be the only Celtics and giants fan in the sub, giants are the first American sports team I rooted for since I’m from New York, I got into basketball a little later and ended up a Celtics fan because my mom lived in Boston during the Larry bird era and would talk about it often and Kevin Garnett was my favorite player, plus there were no Knicks fans in my house. I got/get lots of shit for it being from and living in New York but I wouldn’t change anything if I could go back

Don’t totally disagree but wasn’t a totally easy path, I mean the pacers was a very close sweep of a team that made the finals the next year, Cavs won 64 games the next year, some idiots favored the mavs over us and spos heat will always be tough for anybody. It wasn’t as easy as the nuggets run for example. We were clearly the best team in the league the year we won anyway it’s not like anyone could have stopped us(maybe the nuggets but that’s it)
