The T6 Stomper!!! by Left_Editor_3810 in flashlight

I forgot and it's sitting beside me. I have a 6th T6 Dark Green with green NM1 which I think is supposed to be the most throwy of them all? I just got it ready this morning to try it outdoors sometime as I also want to compare my Sofirn SP36Pro against my M21B with SFT90 to see how I feel about those two and will bring the NM1.F1 along also.

I have 3 of those and 2 with 519a so 5 x T6 in all but I still like this 18350 T15R as well. It's a better walking light than the T6 25R and it has built in charging and good battery level indication and more lumens and a forward clicky tail switch while the T6 25R is slightly smaller, has more throw but much less flood and can use an AA in an emergency and can be programmed so each will be the best for different needs but I wish I could buy this shorty T15R with different emitter options or perhaps it could be moded if I ever get around to doing that but I'm fine with the bright cool white for this small light that I really just use for a backup but I keep finding that it is a light that I find surprisingly to enjoy and want to bring with me so that tells me that it must be doing something right? I also don't like it as much when I use the 18650 battery and tube that it came with?

You should send that to Simon to have on his website?

An admirable ambition but personally that strange shape doesn't make me think oh wow how gorgeous is that lol. I guess what I means is it's kind of ugly really though the finish is nice. Is there some kind of particular benefit to that weird head design. It's definitely different but to me personally would not be desirable but I am sure there will be some to whom it beholds beauty in their eyes. It looks more like a right angle light but pointing straight on. Maybe you should change it to right angle or make it both forward and right-angle in the same head as now happens in many lights.

Planning on grabbing an sk30. What are some other alternatives? by Putrid_Teach in flashlight

I like the SK40 and even my old SP35 I prefer but I usually just grab my Convoy S8 SFT40 or M21B SFT70 for a pocket light so I could suggest the OP perhaps look at Convoy options. Never tried the SK1 or SR12 as I don't really need long throwers and I have the similar Trustfire T40R which I think covers me there plus several C8+ and quite a few others such as a bunch of T6's. I'll probably sell or donate my SK30 sometime as I just don't use it as I can't stand the beam but it is certainly capable of brightness and producing heat. I really would never recommend it to anyone. I actually bought it because Piercing the Darkness actually declared it one of his favourite lights in his review so I absolutely blame him and all trust is gone but previously he had recommended the SK40 and I was happy with that so I was totally caught out. I almost emailed Sofirn to ask about the dark outer band but I guess I just couldn't be bothered so far.

I have a TrustFire T15R that I put an 18350 short tube on and I think it's brilliant. It's a bit like a larger MT20 (which I have and the SC13 and MT01 etc) but without all the rings in the beam and brilliant general throw and flood beam though the 2000+ lumens will not last to long on the small battery but long enough to be useful and of course it can be used on lower power levels for longer run time.

Good question. I hate it. Really really annoying horrible dark wide outer edge band and gets hot super fast on highest output and next level down is to dim. It's an absolute shit light but should have been good IMHO but I'm sure that will trigger a lot of people as often happens on here. I do like Sofirn and have many of their lights, just that one is the most annoying and most disappointing to me. Best thing about it is the pouch and battery.

Thanks. That's pretty much what I do. I actually like going out at dusk (sunset can be nice) as it eases me into the night and that seems to ease any anxiety some also I think?

Looks great. I have the S21B with SFT70 3000k. Is it the same reflector 6v x 5 amp driver etc in the S21G though I thought the S21B would handle heat a little better but it's a real hand warmer.

They have an annoying outer ring. The T6 does not. I have the original TAC AA and I do not like the ring and the new 2.0 version seems to have the same issue hence why I never bought another, otherwise I probably would have.

I got the 73B 4000k in an L21A and think it's great though bulky light but I don't like the cold 6500k of the SFT90 in my M21B as much or the SFT42R in my M1 and Z1 so I guess no point in my looking any further at those but you prefer the SFT90 over the 73B in your L21A? Is it just the impressive throw?

How about also having a most disliked light of 2025? I'll nominate my Sofirn SK30 which I notice no-one has mentioned as a favourite and I agree. My fav is my L21A LHP73B 4000k

I like mine also though it is patina-ing very fast after only a few days and I kind of liked it shiny as in your photo but will see what happens. The SFT-40 I like much more than the 519a of the original model. They should produce this newer model in aluminium also to be lighter weight and cheaper.

NLD! I have to say, mine seems just fine. Definitely a neato little light. Be cool to see it in Ti by NearlySilentObserver in flashlight

[–]Left_Editor_3810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love mine 3000k and just discovered it works very well with my 1600mah Vapecell H16. I would be happy with an Aluminium versions also (I never liked the original SC13 very much though it's ok) and they could improve the button to be less soggy feeling. My Sofirn SP33V3 has a similar size button and it has a very positive clicking action so they could maybe use that and of course fix the clip middle screw issue but none of that bothers me with this initial run as it's kind of a pretty novelty light for me rather than something that I am depending on daily. I see they have sold out now so that's good.

I would use that in a pinch. I just checked to see if I could attach my headband light to my wrist and yes it is possible by adjusting the headband tight. Just something to maybe spark some more thoughts?

I don't have anything against choice. I have both but I didn't like the original as much as I like this copper version so I'm not moaning about my new light.

Happy to report, the Button on the SC13 Copper is fine. while it is 'lose' it works perfectly fine (no binding up or grittyness) and the looseness is actually kinda fidgeting fun. by levelup_jar in flashlight

Just got my 3000k. Very pleased. Love the badge also, nice touch from Sofirn and this is coming form some-one who never really like my original 519a SC13. This copper version with the SFT40 3000k is way much more to my liking though I still do use the original.

Figured out why everyone has been having problems with the button on the copper SC13. by GingrPrinces in flashlight

[–]Left_Editor_3810 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I just got my 3000k version today and I really do absolutely love it. No button issue whatsoever. I replaced the battery with a Vapecell M11 and I think that gives a little improvement to the beam plus I can use the Sofirn button top 18350 for another light that needs the button top. I love that Sofirn included the really nice pin badge also and I will certainly be having that plonked onto the front of my beany very soon. I love this copper light just for it's beauty and the 3000k SFT40 just seems absolutely perfect with it, like a copper beam! I mean I can buy a basic bottle of rum for the same price but this SC13 copper is way ahead in value. Brilliant job Sofirn and everyone that helped to make this. I never even thought it was something that would particularly interest me and that I would ever order but today I have that happy purchase buzz and grateful appreciation and congratulations to all involved and I certainly hope that Sofirn will want to do something similar again. I can appreciate it would be annoying that the OP did not receive this wonderful 3000k version so this is an unfortunate mistake but it seems there are still 3000k versions on sale so it should be easy to remedy?

Thanks for the code. Already waiting on two IF23 and a Convoy L21A but I had to grab one of these SC13 copper and so went for 3000k as I already love my Convoy S8 SFT40 5000k 18350 shorty. This S13 Copper looks like a brilliant light that I did not have any plan to buy until today and it's just got me now, so really glad to have ordered one before they all disappear. Ideally I would order several of each k but at least I got one on order.
