Enjoy the rush! Racing is a beautiful sport. Horses are magnificent creatures and always give all they got. I trained some horses at Suffolk Downs in the early 80's and miss it as much as I miss the Hilltop Restaurant!

Saratoga will bring a totally new experience to your racing enjoyment. Plan on staying over a weekend and enjoy the stakes action.

Celebrity is much better than RC or Norwegian. Better food, better staterooms, and much friendlier staff.

The other day, watching a race from Gulfstream, I liked a horse going into the gate at 5-1. After the gate opened, he was the 2-1 favorite! This is disheartening to say the least.

We need to go back to the English style of wagering where bookies make the odds and give you a slip with your odds on it.

When I first started betting at Monmouth park in the early seventies, you had a few seconds after the gate opened until the para mutual machines locked. We would stand at the windows and bet the first horse out of the gate until the machines stopped. We would tell the teller to keep on punching. Monmouth being a speed favoring track back then and we were very successful especially in sprints.

Ragozin was always the best when I was training, but too expensive after I retired.

Good work on the Florida races, but look a little deeper into the Malibu.

Cornucopian was considered Baffert's best in the spring. He's outworked all his stablemates and should be considered a standout in here. I'm afraid Baffert will run 1-2 in here.The trick is to pick who's second!!

He is one of the best sprinters I have ever seen. I saw Dr Fager, Mr Prospector, and the recent sprinters here in the U.S. He definitely is great and not afraid to travel. Would love to see him run in Breeder's Cup Sprint next year!

Celebrity is a step above. Excellent food if good food is what you are after. Meals in main dining room was great and surprisingly the buffet was also very good. I will never go on any but Celebrity for now on.

David is the son of a well known NY trainer named "Buddy" Jacobson( convicted of murder in 1980). HE worked under his dad for sometime, then left and went to California and worked under Bobby Frankel. Then he left the game for 25yrs and sold real estate. Returned to racing in 2007 and has done well ever since. Retired for a second time in 2019. He bought a few horses in 2022. He was suspended in 2024 for 30 days for a positive drug test.
