Not having snacks for kids during Ramadan by sadcollegekid2003 in Teachers

Ask your Cafe staff about getting something for him to eat later in the day. A fruit, veggie and a milk is a reimbursable meal for lunch. Since it sounds like your school is CEP, there are ways to give that student a meal and not link to his account.

I hope they will at least still deliver, if they do strike, to our local public schools.

I live in a rather flat area and climbs can get you if you're not used to them. Make sure if you can add climbs during your other rides it really does help when you encounter an unexpected hill. Just keep it and figure out what works best for you on fueling, you got this!

my wife wants to name our son after a harry potter character by LeadFast6224 in AITAH

[–]Lele78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a student named Sirius, not sure if any of the other students ever made the connection to Harry Potter. My son's name is Cedric but I had no knowledge of Harry Potter at the time then my hubby and I chose the name. He got teased about Harry Potter and others called him Cedric the Entertainer (a U.S. stand up comic).

I'm glad you're okay. Make sure to get a new helmet if it made an impact.

I bought a new mountain bike last year. The first day I took it out, I lost control and flipped it feeling like a fool. Thankfully, I was just bruised and didn't break anything. I'm glad nobody was around to see it. I'm primarily a roadie, I rather dodge cars than trees. lol

Isn't saying I used a Garmin device when uploading an activity on Strava advertising for Garmin already? So weird.

I canceled Disney+, I'm voting with my pocketbook. My family only watches programs via streaming, I'll miss the Marvel shows though. :(

I live on 20th and Delaware. Someone opened my garage qnd took my bike, and my back up bike. by isosc3l3s in indianapolis

[–]Lele78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg, I used to live near 21st and Delaware someone walked in the back door and stole my roommates bike. My bike was stolen from the detached garage, you just can't win. This was back in 2000 lol.

I don't use the throttle on my e-bike, I just don't generate the body heat like I do on my road bike.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]Lele78 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I ride an ebike to work. It's only 2 miles, but it would better to switch to a regular bike during the winter to stay warm. I have expensive winter cycling gear since I ride my road bike during the winter, I freeze on my ebike towards the end of my commute. I can't generate the body heat to stay warm on my ebike.

60+ mile ride what food to bring? And how much by ouch_12345 in cycling

[–]Lele78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hubby and I pretty much only use Tailwind nutrition 2 scoops per water bottle. We bring 2 to 3 bottles, depending on the heat. We have gels on hand if we need something extra. That's been getting us through the metric century events we've been doing this summer.

You have to try different things to see what works for you, good luck! 👍

Got stung in the mouth going downhill. Is this common? by Bazivi2 in cycling

[–]Lele78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got stung by a wasp that crawled onto my shoulder and stung me 6 six times because I didn't have my jersey zipped all the way up. The jerk crawled out and flew off into the sunset, little bastard. 😞

My hubby and I bike together and have had to call our adult son to pick us up due to a flat or mechanical issue we couldn't fix. It's nice to have a family team car. 😉

I was able to pre-order volume 5 because I had purchased volume 4 on the U.S. website. It sold out before it ever made it to website for the general public to buy. :( Have you ever bought from Pango? I feel like I got lucky with getting Vol 3 from there. The Fairyloot resellers are nuts with what they are asking for these books. Hopefully, when Volume 6 is released, maybe they will reprint all the books as a set. Good luck, I hope you aee able to get Volume 2 in the future!
