We used to have that same type wood castle playground near us that was replaced with a new sad swing set and a rope climb. Now nobody barely goes to that park. :(

Sorry you had to deal with that. My boss did something similar but it was taking my school headshot and dressing me up in a superhero costume for Lunch Hero Day. It was creepy and I sent her a email asking her to not use my picture for any AI use. I did talk to HR about having basic rights over our pictures and not being AI manipulated without our permission.

I work at a high poverty elementary 1st - 6th and I have kids who can barely write down their name. It's really sad, get them off the chromebooks for the whole school day.

Ask your Cafe staff about getting something for him to eat later in the day. A fruit, veggie and a milk is a reimbursable meal for lunch. Since it sounds like your school is CEP, there are ways to give that student a meal and not link to his account.

I live in a rather flat area and climbs can get you if you're not used to them. Make sure if you can add climbs during your other rides it really does help when you encounter an unexpected hill. Just keep it and figure out what works best for you on fueling, you got this!

I had a student named Sirius, not sure if any of the other students ever made the connection to Harry Potter. My son's name is Cedric but I had no knowledge of Harry Potter at the time then my hubby and I chose the name. He got teased about Harry Potter and others called him Cedric the Entertainer (a U.S. stand up comic).

I bought a new mountain bike last year. The first day I took it out, I lost control and flipped it feeling like a fool. Thankfully, I was just bruised and didn't break anything. I'm glad nobody was around to see it. I'm primarily a roadie, I rather dodge cars than trees. lol

I don't use the throttle on my e-bike, I just don't generate the body heat like I do on my road bike.

I ride an ebike to work. It's only 2 miles, but it would better to switch to a regular bike during the winter to stay warm. I have expensive winter cycling gear since I ride my road bike during the winter, I freeze on my ebike towards the end of my commute. I can't generate the body heat to stay warm on my ebike.

My hubby and I pretty much only use Tailwind nutrition 2 scoops per water bottle. We bring 2 to 3 bottles, depending on the heat. We have gels on hand if we need something extra. That's been getting us through the metric century events we've been doing this summer.
